30 Years Old, 2 Kids, Ready for a Makeover - Chicago, IL

Im 30 years old & have 2 kids. After my second child I didn't even recognize myself in the mirror anymore. I became depressed & hated leaving the house. It really started to affect my family. I knew I needed to change my life, so on my own I lost over 50 lbs by eating right & working out. So now the weight is coming off but my skin would not tighten up. My stomach was horrible. My lower stomach would be in my lap when I would sit. I thought I looked worse after losing the weight. And i still have more weight to lose. I kept telling my husband I don't care what I have to do I'm getting plastic surgery. I ended up getting 2 jobs to start saving money. One day I just broke down & my husband said pick a plastic surgeon & go for a consultation cause I can't stand seeing you this depressed anymore. I was all over the Internet then came across RealSelf. So Im looking at Dr's in my area & I just didn't feel like yes this is the one. Then I saw Dr Shifrin's profile & his before & after photos then went to his website & I was like yes he is the one. I called the next day & spoke with Adrian & set up my first consultation. I loved his office & his staff. Everyone was so nice to me. So I'm in the room with my husband & was given a robe to put on. So now I'm more nervous about being naked in front of someone I never met. Then in walks Dr Shifrin. Ladies I can't even begin to tell you how Handsome he is. He made me feel so comfortable right from the start. He was so nice & took his time with me & answered all my questions. I talked about my concerns & what i would like to have done. Then he takes a look at you & gives you his opinion & tells you what he can do. At the end of my consultation Dr Shifrin recommended that I have at least 2 more consultations with other doctors. I didn't need to. I knew he was the one I was going with. Then Adrian comes in to go over the cost of the procedures with you. Your quote is good for 6 months. Then my husband tells me he has been saving up money to & I can have my surgeries. Im having so much done that I have to have 2 separate surgeries. My first surgery will be Full Tummy Tuck with lipo of abdomen & flanks, lipo of upper arms & back & BBL. Dr Shifrin said second surgery has to be at least 3 months after my first. November 25th 2014 was one of the best days of my life. Dr Shifrin performed a full tummy tuck with lipo to abdomen & flanks, lipo of upper arms & my back & BBL. My surgery was performed at Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery in Mokena IL. I was so confident in Dr Shifrin I wasn't nervous at all. I believe my surgery took about 6 hours. I remember waking up & not being in to much pain. The first thing I did was feel my flat stomach. It was the best feeling in the world. Then I was brought to my room where my husband was waiting for me. He noticed my stomach right away & couldn't believe it. I did stay overnight & I would recommend staying overnight to anyone if you can. The nurses I had were great. They took such good care of me. I did start to have some pain & discomfort but for the most part it was tolerable. Let me remind you I had a tummy tuck & bbl & lipo of arms & back so once the meds weren't as strong anymore it was hard to get comfortable. I was always being turned from side to side every few hours. Not going to lie it was starting to hurt. The next morning I was told I needed to get out of bed & sit in a chair. I looked at my husband & said no way . The nurse was trying to help me sit up & my stomach was so tight I was convinced my stiches were going to pop open. My problem wasn't the pain it's that I was to scared to move. Once I sat in the chair & had some breakfast it was time to go home. Make sure you get all your prescriptions filled before surgery. I needed my pain meds on the drive home. I also set my alarm to remind me to take my pills even if the pain wasn't bad. One night I ignored my alarm & was like I can wait another hour or two. No the pain was pretty bad & I didn't skip again. Pillows pillows pillows I never had enough pillows. I was up to 7 pillows by the time i didnt need them anymore. I would say the first 4 days are the worst. It does get better even if you think it won't. For the first week my husband had to help me do everything like walk, shower, empty my drains, help me with my compression socks & even go to the bathroom. At my post op appointment one of my drains was taken out & one stayed in for another week. Dr Shifrin told me by the end of my second week I won't believe how much better I will feel & he was right. I did walk hunched over for a good 6 weeks. But again that was me being scared about standing straight up. It did take about 3 months to see my final shape of my bbl. I love my new round booty. I would be lying if I said there was no pain. There is pain & the pain does go away, but your results can be forever. I had so many procedures done at once that my body was swollen for a long time. It does take a long time for your body to heal & you need to be patient. Once I was able to move around like normal again I was seeing results everyday. I did wait 3 months to buy all new clothes. I can't even begin to explain how happy I am with my results. I look better now then even before I had kids. So my 3 month post op appointment was also my pre op appointment for my second procedure. My surgery will be March 10th 2015. I will be getting a breast lift with implants & a vertical thigh lift with circumferential lipo & lipo of knees & calves. I can officially say I love my new body. And cant wait to see how I look aftet my next procedure. My body by shifrin will soon be complete. I owe everything to Dr Shifrin. He is amazing at what he does. I would recommend him to everyone I know. I will post pictures soon.

Tummy tuck after pics. Still need to get before pics. I had the most swelling at 2 weeks. It's like your body has to get worse before it gets better. I noticed my swelling going down around 2 months.
