This was absolutely a nightmare-ish experience...

This was absolutely a nightmare-ish experience that I would not wish upon anyone. I initially went to Dr. Horn because I had some girlfriends who went to him and had excellent results. I went into my consult and right away decided to use him for my breast augmentation and I took his recommendation on size as well. Almost immediately after surgery i realized something wasn't right. They were sitting far apart and in my armpits, my nipples were extremely low, they looked absolutely horrible. I called the office and was told "this was normal, as they drop, my nipples would look better" and they said that they would see me at the 6 week post op appointment. Well, after 6 weeks I went in and discussed my concerns. "What don't you like?" "Show me what you dislike." These questions astounded me, considering friends and family who I had shown could not believe how bad they looked. He told me they would get better with time and not to worry. Over the next year, and appointment after appointment, things did NOT get better, and they continued to look the same. Eventually, and I cannot remember how far after surgery, he had me start wearing a band. Mind you, I looked up how well these work, and they can be extremely effective right after surgery, but NOT months after. Over the next year, he started to give me reasons why they looked how they looked, all the same while asking me what I disliked about them...hmmmm. He told me they were too far apart because my implant size was too large for my body, he had to "shove" them in. Excuse me?! YOU are the doctor. When I am under anesthesia YOU make the calls! That is why I chose you!!! To make decisions that I cannot make. Reason #2. I am "too athletic". My pec muscles were too strong and pushed them out. NO again. After surgery I was SO incredibly traumatized by how bad they looked, I stopped training upper body all together. Reason #3. I didn't wear my sports bra enough. Again, I was so traumatized by how bad they looked, my fiance NEVER saw me without it on. I was too embarrassed to ever take it off. Reason #4. I had a pacemaker, this made the implants look different than other girls. Correction, I had a pacemaker in one breast, not both. So why did they both look so horrible then?

EVENTUALLY, after one year, Dr. Horn agreed to "fix them", free of charge. I remember going to the surgery center, and having him completely ignore the people who came with me. He was incredible rude and bitter about the entire thing, and it was obvious. The next day, when I went in to get put into the sports bra, he said "I did what you wanted, you should be happy." and walked out. Except I wasn't happy. They looked almost exactly the same.

For the cherry on the sundae. I went to numerous doctors to get my breasts for the third and final time, and I was told by each of them I had a capsular contracture. I was never told this by Dr. Horn, nor was I ever given any recommendations for it. Imagine my surprise as I googled "treatments for capsular contracture" and a board on RealSelf.com came up with Dr. Horn leaving the first comment on the board regarding taking Singulair or Accolate and how they can help treat these. Funny how I was never even told I had this.

Overall, this experience traumatized me. I would go elsewhere for your breast augmentation.
