I'd been thinking about getting a tummy tuck and...

I'd been thinking about getting a tummy tuck and fixing my breasts for about a year before my surgery. I went to several doctors and chose Dr. Kofkoff based on his reviews, pictures, and how comfortable I felt with him after meeting him.
After losing the baby weight from my third pregnancy, my belly just protruded and the skin was floppy. My stretch marks were worse with the pregnancy somehow as well and went over my belly button, making my belly button look very droopy and sad. I went to a dermatologist and got my stretch marks zapped a few times and it didn't help at all! I bought stretch mark creams, and none of them worked even a little! Even if the cream had worked, I'd still have been left with the loose skin that needed to be adjusted and tucked back into my pants constantly. I was 5'8 and my weight in the 120s. I was working out 3 times a week and playing sports. It was depressing a bit to be in such good shape, but to still feel shameful about your abdominal area! I was always careful to make sure my top didn't expose my midriff, and wore suits to the pool that hid everything! After much deliberation, I decided that I was worth the investment. I'd had a breast augmentation years ago (before breastfeeding two of my three kids!) with saline implants. I'd had asymmetry since puberty, but it got quite worse after breastfeeding. Apparently, my larger breast was also my favored breast by my babies! It made a lot more milk than it's smaller twin, so after losing the weight, I also had a stretched out, floppy breast that looked ridiculous next to my bocce ball breast that never moved. This made swimsuit and workout clothes even more difficult!!
I was really hoping that Dr K would tell me I could get by with a mini tt, but even I knew that was a pipe dream. It would not have made me happy as my belly button would still look droopy and the stretch marks above would have stayed put. Also, I needed the muscle repair and tightening. My muscles were shot and could no longer hold in my mommy gut!

So far, my healing has been pretty uneventful! I had a drain that was causing some minor discomfort and doc said it was a small clot right on the surface and since removing the drain, I've had no further issues.
My pain has been manageable since the get. At the surgery center, the nurses were fantastic! I know that I was a pain, but they were so sweet and made me feel like I was in the care of family, not staff that I'd never met! One of the nurses (Lisa) helped me to walk the first couple times, use the restroom, and then fanned me and brought me a cool washcloth when I felt nauseated at one point. Another nurse, Jenny, was bubbly and talkative and helped make me feel like I was chatting with a friend over coffee, and not laid up in a hospital recovering! They were wonderful!
