Should Have Done It the First Time Around - Cherry Hill, NJ

Well today marks six weeks since I had the surgery. I saw the doctor a few days ago and all is well. My belly button has started to heal and is looking much better (not perfect, but better). And the doc says that I still have some swelling, but I can barely tell. The new clothes that I purchased when I lost all of the weight (that were not fitting immediately after the surgery because of swelling) are fitting now. And the pants I had altered the day before I went back to work are too big now. My scar is still ugly, but getting better everyday. And this morning I am wearing a fitted dress to work, a small that I bought from Express and I feel amazing! I really love how I look and even when I am siiting it looks good! So today I am ready to check the box....THIS SURGERY WAS COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!!!

Well, I am 4 weeks in tomorrow. Still not ready to give a thumbs up. My belly button is better, but still ugly and I am not sure if the results are what I expected. I think I thought I would look like a supermodel or that my stomach would be concave...yes, unrealistic I know, but I did. Anyway, attaching photos...let me know what you think.

Almost four weeks post-surgery. My belly button still looks awful, but it is healing. My scar is still a bit "frankenstein," but the center section is beginning to flatten out. The right side of the scar looks good, but the left is still puffy. Also, I can feel the stitches in the center of chest where the doctor sewed my chest muscles back together.

But my stomach is flat (even with swelling) and I went back to work in 13 days with no problems. So, we'll see...still not ready to give the thumbs up or down yet.
