How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

I cannot thank Dr. Bednar and his staff enough for...

I cannot thank Dr. Bednar and his staff enough for their support throughout this procedure. They are a godsend!

As a 60 year old woman who had implants all of my adult life, I was ready to get rid of them. I did not want to deal with the maintenance of implants into my 70s and 80s. In my early 20s, I had smaller saline implants which I had for about 20 years until I developed a capsular contracture around one of the implants in my 40s. In my 40s, I replaced the saline implants with silicone implants. I was never happy with the profile of the silicone implants so for the last 15 years I really had been unhappy. When I developed rippling around both implants in my 50s, I knew I was done with implants. However, I dreaded another surgery.

With my husband’s full support about removing the implants, we began the research on where the best place was to have this procedure. While I knew I wanted the implants removed, I was really sinking into a deep depression thinking about what my breasts would look like when the implants were removed. As I started my research on implant removal, I starting reading about fat transfer to the breasts. At last I began to feel that by having the implants removed in conjunction with fat transfer to the breast, I might be able to save my self esteem. From there I continued my research in an effort to determine the best facility and the best doctor to perform this procedure (the removal and the fat transfer).

Dr. Bednar’s name appeared repeatedly with the best reviews and best results. And, believe me, those reviews were “spot on”. His years of experience performing this procedure, his skill as an artist, his thorough and patient explanations, and his manner that makes you feel calm and confident, make him the best. We drove across 3 state lines to meet with Dr. Bednar and his staff in Charlotte, NC, and again to have the procedure.

Did I mention his staff? The office staff and nursing staff are unbelievable. They truly are supportive and make you feel comfortable during the entire procedure from pre-op to post-op. You can call them or email them with any questions and you get a response almost immediately.
My initial contact was with Sylvia (his wife), who was wonderful. I must say that the entire staff, and I mean everyone, were so kind to my husband and me throughout our stay there.

I am certainly happy to have this surgery behind me. It’s still too early (two weeks) for me to know the final results, but I already feel terrific! If you are considering this procedure, I recommend you end your search here with Dr. Bednar. You won’t regret it!
