5 days away getting nervous, am I thin enough, what about pain? When can I work out agin? When can I have sex ? Any advice? Dr Bandak in Charleston, WV with one night in hospital, scarring, drains all a bit overwhelming , I am taking one week way from work and have option for more, I work near my home so it's not a big deal to go back after 7 days

My surgery (TT and lipo to flanks) was done on 2/11/13 at St Francis in Charleston with Dr Bandak, I stayed one night in the hospital which I highly reccomend , the staff was great, hospital clean and private. Dr. Bandak reports he removed over 9pounds of fat and 3 pounds of skin. Pain has been minimal except when moving around, walking around in the house has helped, the only problem has been some swelling in testicals without pain, I have two drains that come out Tuesday, cutting back pain meds to 1/2 today. At this point I am happy with the appearance can't wait to see how it looks after the swelling goes down, I will soon post pictures.

7 days post op, spent first night in hospital then home with my wife , mom and friends helping me out, I still have two drains ,, cutting self in half on pain meds today without too much trouble. I go back to my PS tomorrow hope he releases me to work by Thursday. I am happy with results , I appear a bit puffy on left side , love handles no more, belly button and pubic area look ideal. The worst part has been restricting my movements and activity. I did not have a BM the first 4 days but stool softness helped . I will post photos soon.

Two months and 6 days po, love it, but still numb, a little swollen at times, but getting better. I resumed full Cardio work out but taking abs and my core very slow. Any exercise advice? I am more swollen at days end, so I am wearing impression shirts all day , stopped the binder about 2 weeks ago.

I had my surgery 1 week ago. And so far so good, I fully understand your concerns, I was in your shoes 7 days ago. I won't tell you is a piece of cake, the drains suck (I had a total of 5, and 3 of them were above my penis which hurt a lot for a while - just one left now), plus your stomach also feels so weird and tight. I have had some pain on the surgery area, but most of it has been tolerable. The key is having someone with you to help you out for a couple of days. My doctor recommended 2 weeks off work, and I'm glad he did. I can walk and sit now, but not sure I could handle a full day at the office. My only concern is that I've not been working out and have been eating a lot, boredom is not a good ally. Not sure when I'll be able to go back to the gym. Oh and no sex for me either at least for 8-10 more days, which sucks because valentine's is tomorrow.

How long did you wear your binder? I have kept mine on the entire week since I had my procedure, I am not weighing myself until the swelling goes down, just a mental thing for me. I have walked around the house, done a few chores, slept and only left the house once for a short drive with a friend. Only pain is when getting up or bending at times, more of a burning paying than cutting pain, ready to stop pain meds I think.

Most of your questions will be answered by your Dr. In here (relselff) you can have an idea of what different Dr have told different patients. I was allowed to workout again after 8 weeks. I went back to work after a week.
