You Could never be fully mentally of emitionally...

You Could never be fully mentally of emitionally prepared for this type of surgery. I am 23 years old and mother of a 3 year. Going into this surgery I weighed 118 lbs.(I hope I get back to that after all the inflammation is gone). My mother and aunt both had the same procedure a year ago at the se clinic with the same doctor. So I was pretty confident going into this surgery based on their results. I left behind my husband and 3 year old son to come to santo Domingo with my mother. Consultation was on a wednesday and already had surgery scheduled for Friday. The consultation was very fast nothing like what I had seen on TV. I guess I expected details maybe a picture on the computer screen of what I look now and will look after. I will start off by saying the equipment at the CECIP is very ancient form the equipment the cardiologist uses to the X-ray machine everything is old!! Going into the surgery room after being in a US hospital and having a CSection done there I guess I expected the same type of equipment, man was I wrong all I could do was pray. There was one light in the ceiling of the operating room no oxygen, none of the machines used in the US I think there might have been a heart monitor don't really recall. I remember waking up during the procedure and feeling like they were spanking my butt I remember asking for more anesthesia. After surgery I had no complications really. Did feel nauseaus my mother asked for for a pill right away. They sent me home with a binder garment and the drainage the next day. This surgery is very very uncomfortable. Be prepares to feel pain in your back because of the lipo. Pain in ur buttocks because of the fat xtrnsfer and last but not least an overall stiffness in your body because the incision is tight. The drains were removed 6 days after and I was given a compression garment that didn't really work. Instead of lifting the buttocks and it made pressure downward. My hips atr soo swollen I had never seem them like that in my life. I suggest you buy I complete package that includes maybe the recovery house and massages. Don't go based upon the people you know and who you know that never works and you end up with unprofessional people who will get you for your money. I love the privacy of things in the US here everybody wants to know your business and give you their opinion. I called the doctor about a concer that I had the secretary took down my information and stated he would call back. It's been 3 days now no call. Anyways it's been a rough week I am 9 days post op and I a feeling a bit depressed. I miss my 3 year old and I guess the sleepless nights don't help. Stay at a recovery house don't stay at anybody's house!!! There are certain accommodations you may need and that they're not have. Do not come on this trip by yourself. Try to come with someone who may have some knowledge or do some research before coming to avoid scams. The incision is healing my mother says appropriately. I leave on Friday the 29th and cannot wait I miss the US. I am nauseaus almost everyday because the food has too much seasoning. That's the plus of being in a recovery house they feed you what you are supposed to eat. I know every doctor has their faults wether in the US or DR but there's nothing like receiving care or attention you deserve or being able to call that doctor whenever. I would pay the extra bucks and get it done int the US. Research the doctor as much as possible. I hope I see good result later on to feel. Like this pain and stiffness is worth it. I guess because I was already tiny I am not seeing much results other than none of that flaccid skin and I am still swollen.
