Let me update first to my very first post... this is critical...
For anyone looking to do this procedure, please, please, please, do the research, look at the reviews, and have reasonable expectations of yourself and of the procedure. I have seen many reviews from many people who have "yelped" about the place where I had my procedure done. Physicians Skin and Weight Centers in Campbell. Let me first say that the staff is professional and very very informed. They are very correct in their explanation of the procedure and what you can expect. I will say that if you expect to have this solve all your weight problems you are sadly mistaken. The change must begin and end with you and what you do to change who you are. The money you INVEST in this, and I do stress invest, is all about how far you're willing to take this to the next level. It is painful to some, uncomfortable to others, painless to others. IT IS INVASIVE! I will say that I felt horribly vulnerable while on the table because I was basically naked and sedated and as a woman and a mom that is daunting. DO THE FREAKIN RESARCH PEOPLE! It's called "Cosmetic Surgery" for a reason. The staff at PSWC was amazing to me. I had an amazing doctor who had awesome bedside manner and talked me through every single step of the process. Basically, they have to separate your skin from you fat and they do that with this solution and then they suck the fat out. It's not easy, it's not nice, it's not pain free. Get a grip! My doctor is Dr. Newell. He is young, and handsome and all that. I am a 41 year old mom who needed a makeover so I'm sure you can only imagine how that feels. The truth of it is that he is awesome. I love him and wouldn't allow anyone else to ever touch me. He was sensitive and talked to me, and has an amazing bedside manner. I wanted to get up and run from the table and he made things "ok" for me. He also allowed me to have the time that my body needed to adjust to the procedure. Also, I have become dependent on the compression garments, spanx etc. It definitely helps keep things in check and also helps to cut down on the stress ont he body. :)

Ok, so I'm three weeks post op for my abs and sides and one week post op for my arms. Yes, they had to do them in two different sections due to how much the body can tolerate. I can say that I am super glad that they did them separate. I can totally see the difference in inches from my abs and sides and at only one week post op for my arms, I feel like I am on top of the world. I have people that I have known for years asking me what I have done to lose so much weight! I have only lost 15 lbs since my inital start however, I feel like I have lost 10 years of the weight!
I will post pictures again at 1 month. I can tell you all that at 2 weeks post op, I put my presurgery jeans on and I had zero muffin top. ZERO! I didn't need to keep pulling and tugging on my shirt, and my jeans fit amazing. My clothes flow. I feel great about myself and have tremendous confidence. I am in marketing, and appearance is everything. I am comfortable in my own 41 year old skin. I love the way I look. I by no means am perfect or swimsuit gorgeous, but I am one very happy girl. :)

Ok, so I'm in my second day post op. Today my weight is 174.6. My first night home was ok, I had a lot of draining from the wound sites. I soaked my clothes and my compression garment and my bedding. Yesterday at my follow up I was told that I looked good but swollen in the abdomen area. This is because most of my fat was there and the doctor spent a lot of time going back to that area especially in the lower pubic area and around the belly button. Yesterday wasn't as painful as I had thought but it did seem that I was retaining a lot of fluid! I weighed 192 yesterday! I was shocked, but it's from all the tumescence fluid from the surgery. I walked around a lot yesterday to keep the body moving and processing like they told me to. I did have some fluid gather in the lower pubic area (va jay) and it was a little swollen. So they told me to roll a little towel like a wash cloth and push that skin up into the abdomen and then strap my compression garment up around it. I have seen many posts on here about the swelling there. It will subside, just keep massaging the skin and push it up with the compression garment. Today is the most painful day so far. I was told that the second day is the worst and to manage it best with the pain meds that I was given. The swelling has subsided a little, and I can get my wedding ring back on. Yae! I just took off my bandages and compression garment and I can already see such a difference at two days out! I am posting my before pictures today and I will post some more pictures in a couple of days when the swelling has gone down a little more.

I am a mom of four the youngest of which is four years and the oldest is 20. I have been battling with my weight for about the last nine years. I got up to 180 lbs 5'2" and have lost a little in inches but not pounds. I eat really well, clean, whole grains, no sauces or added salts and sugars. I am very active, and I walk approximately three miles a day with the dogs, and I also do roller derby. I have contemplated this procedure for a while and have gone back and forth about the cost and read all the reviews. My pre op was today and my procedure is tomorrow evening. I am hoping that this procedure helps me to get over the wall I have reached and get down a few pounds. I will post my before pictures before the procedure.
