I am a 29 year old mommy of 4. I have twin 10 year old boys, a 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old baby boy who seems to think he should permenetly be attached to my hip. I have gained and lost weight countless times in my life but I have always been the chubby girl. My boobs have been teeny tiny too compared to my massive rolls of a stomach. LOL. I hate how hard I have always been on myself, and I am so ready to be confident and comfortable with myself.

I knew after my daughter was born that I needed a mommy makeover, but didn't have the $$ for it then. After my last son, I had my tubes tied and I am SO SO SOOOOO ready for this. After I made this decision with my husband, I have been going back and forth with it. My surgery date is Feb. 14,2011 and I am so excited but really nervous too. I feel a bit selfish spending so much money on myself. My husband has been really reassuring me and telling me that I deserve this. I think he loves me. LOL

The closer my date gets, the more excitement I feel. I am getting a tummy tuck, lipo to several areas, and a breast aug. My PS says I should go DD because my rib cage is wide and it would look a lot better on me. I agreed and so did my hubby.

Since my date was scheduled, I cannot help but be obsessed with this whole process. I think about it a lot through out the day, and I am constsntly seeking reassurance from my hubby. In a week and a half from now, I am going to look so different, and I could not be happier about that. :)

Thankfully, I am getting 2 pain pumps for after my surgery and I will have them for 4 days! Has anyone else had these? My PS says I wont feel a thing during this period of time. Also, I am not sure if I will have drains or not? If I do have them, then I don't know who will empty them for me because I certainly cannot do it. HAHAHA

I will post my before pics after my surgery so I can show you all the dramatic change!

Ok, so I have seen on this website that I am not the only one here who has probably seen all the mommy makeover before and after pics on the web..my husband asked me last night if I was thinking about palying for the other team. I reassured him, I was not looking at naked boobies and tummies for sexual enjoyment but to see what I am in for. LOL. I know he was joking but that is how obsessed I feel like I have been lately. A little more than a week to go and I will be and finally feel sexy! Whoot whoot! I can NOT wait! Originally, my surgery date was 2/24, but due to my being completely impatient, and my excitement, I called the PS last week and moved it up to Valentines Day. I didnt menton that before, but I thought I would share.

Also, I wanted to make a video diary to be able to look back and show other mommies who want to do this, that you will be OK. Also, so I can look back and see how my whole attitude about myself will change. :)

Ps- I love this website!!

OMG... 10 days!!! Whoot Whoot!! I can't believe it is so close, yet still so far away! Hurry up Valentine's day.. PLEASE!!!!

Updated on 5 Feb 2011:
So, I am in the shower this morning with my 2 year old son, and I think he knows something is up because he kept trying to poke and lift my stomach flap. You know, the flap of fat and skin that hangs down to your pubic area.. anyway, needless to say, Daddy had to come get the boy outta the shower so mommy could wash her excess skin in peace.
9 DAYS.. the final countdown has begun...

Updated on 6 Feb 2011:
OMG... I am freaking out!! I am paying for my surgeries with my tax return, and I have to pay this Thursday at my pre-op appt. I got an email tonight that said my refund isnt going to come in until 2/15! That is the day after my surgery is scheduled!! NOOOOOOOOO!!! It has to come in before that. It said that on the IRS website so I am hoping that is the last possible date it could come in but will probably come in before that. I am sure it will. I need it by the 10th..LOL.

Anyway, I do hope this week goes by super fast. I hate waiting.

Updated on 8 Feb 2011:
No No Nooooo!!! I have to reschedule my surgery date because my money will not be available until Feb. 15th. Will this actully happen?! I am so upset and frustrated right now. As soon as I know the date, I will update my review.
to be continued...

Updated on 9 Feb 2011:
I am so completely stressed today. My surgery date is still to be determined. I feel so greatful to be able to afford to do this because a lot of other people want to, but cannot. BUT... I am so impatient. My surgery is being rescheduled because my money isnt available in my bank until Feb 15!! And my PS office isnt being very nice to me today. They are acting like I am this huge burden on their back. Ummm.. I'm sorry, but I am going to be paying a ginormous amount of money on this, and I am nervous, scared, and unsure about what is going on. The least they could do is be nice, right??
Hopefully today I will have my new date. ANd hopefully it is only a few days after my initial date...
On another note, due to my being so stressed, I have gained 2lbs in the last few days!! 2 LBS!!! Wth is that about?! LOL
to be continued....

Whoop Whoop.. Pre op on 2/16. Possible surgery on 2/21!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Excited, can you tell?!

Updated on 10 Feb 2011:
Ok.. seriously? If one more thing goes wrong, I am going to walk away from this whole thing.
The money I am getting to pay for my surgery was supposed to be the exact amount I needed. Unfortunately, my huuby had a 1000 tax debt that we did not know about and it has been deducted from my return this year. Now, I am 1000 short for my surgery. I have until next wednesdau to come up with 1k. Anyone have any easy money making ideas??

Updated on 14 Feb 2011:
Hip Hip HOOORRRAAYYYY!! Ok- so I have all the money for my surgery now. Thank God! I weas totally stressed out all week long! I am so excited and anxious now. I really want this week to fly by as fast as possible. My husband bought me a new video camera, and I am going to make a video diary of my expierence and post it to youtube. As soon as I create a youtube account, I will update again so you all can watch it! :-)
Wednesday is my pre-op appt. What should I expect during my appt?

Updated on 15 Feb 2011:
Getting down to the wire.. 6 days! Pre-op tomorrow, and I am kind of nervous about it. Almost more nervous than I am about the actual surgery. I am making my first youtube video diary tonight. After I upload it, I will post a link here so everyone can view it!

Updated on 16 Feb 2011:
I had my pre op today, and it went really well. PS took my before pics and I was absolutely mortified tht I had to stand completely NAKED in front of him and his office manager. It was so embarassing. Picking up my prescriptions in the morning and hoping that Monday comes FAST. I want to be in recovery already! LOL

Updated on 17 Feb 2011:
As I drove the looong 2 hour drive home from my pre op appt last night, I started thinking about the ginormous amount of money that I handed over to the office manager of my PS office. I started feeling a bit of buyers remourse. Only for a moment, but it bothered me that I had that feeling. Has anyone else felt like that after paying for their procedure? I am totally ok with it now, but for about an hour, I couldn't stop thinking about how people are suffering and struggling in this economy and I felt a bit selfish. I have never done anything like this for myself, and I know I deserve it, but I also don't want to feel guilty. I hate feeling guilty.

Updated on 1 Mar 2011:
Ok- I am 8 days post op and so much has happened! First of all, I am an emotional mess. My husband was laid off 2 days ago, and his company filed BK so he will not get paid for the last 6 weeks of work. I now have a $600 cosmetic surgery payment coming up in 3 weeks and my resnt was due today with no money to pay it. I feel absolutely guilty, and selfish for putting our only money we had in savings for a down payment on my surgery. ($8400). I have been crying uncontrollably and I am so worried and dont know what to do. Also, my left arm at my elbow is so swollen from the lipo that it looks deformed. I still have all 3 drains in because I am putting out 120 ml+ a day from each. I called my dr this afternoon to tell them about my elbow swelling because I cannot extend my arm fully from it. When the dr called me back, he made me feel like a complete jerk for even calling. He made me cry... again. He acted like I should know that swelling is normal, and I do, but this is abdormal swelling. If I had known how his bedside manner was before surgery, I would have gone with a different dr. Anyway, swelling and drains and crying fits aside, I am feeling ok. Still very sore, and still cannot stand completely straight up but yesterday, I saw my tummy for the first time and I couldn't believe it was me. I look so different in a good way. I love the support I get from everyone here, and I need to make daily visits to the site and stay in touch with everyone so I don't feel so bad and guilty all the time. LOL

Congratulations!!! How exciting for you.
I had a breast aug, full tummy tuck, and a hernia repair one week ago today. I had 2 pain pumps, also, and 2 drains. Trust me...after 4 children...you will be able to empty the drains!

I was the same way. I was obsessed about the surgery and could not think of anything else at all! I want to give you a few words of advice that I was not prepared for:
1. Give yourself time to feel better. After being a mom for 10 years, it's going to drive you nuts not to be able to be up to par. You will feel guilty at times for not being the mom you are used to being. You will be back and better than ever within time. This has been one of the biggest hardships for me...watching my husband struggle with "doing it all" while I was sitting right there.
2. If at all possible...Get the kids out of the house for the first few days after surgery. It was hard to relax after they came home, but I was glad that I didn't have to think about their well-being during those initial days.
3. Be prepared for a little guilt and remorse afterward. I am usually a very optimistic and happy person. I was not ready for feelings of remorse. It was only for a few days, but it was there. Once you begin to feel like yourself (kind-of), you get over it and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Good luck with everything...you'll do great! If you have given birth to and raised 4 children, you can do this. Being a mom is so self-less and thank-less. You deserve to feel confident while being the best mom you can! Your husband sounds very supportive. My husband was fantastic. He amazed me so many times! My husband is not the verbal type of guy who gushes over his feelings. After going through this with me...I know how deeply he cares for me. He gave me such patient and tender care, and didn't complain even once! He emptied my drains and pulled out my pain pumps when they were done. I feel so much closer to him now. After 10 years of marriage...it was nice to have a reminder of how much he cares for me. I hope you and your husband have the same experience!

Thank you so much for your supportive words! I still do feel completely obsessed with my surgery. And even after having my children (who were all c-section) I am still not confident about the drains. I have read on here that it is a disgusting process, and am kind of squemish. LOL.
When you had your pain pumps, did you feel anything? My PS told me I will be completely numb for 4 days. Also, are you taking any pain meds now after one week?
I would love to see your before and after! I will have to check out your profile!! :-)
lizzy-j 3 Feb 2011
I just got my drains out today. I was so nervous, but I didn't think it hurt at all. I did think the drains were gross at first, but as the days went on, it got easier and easier.
My pain pumps did seem to help alot. I wouldn't say that I was completely numb...but I was not in a lot of pain. Overall, pain was not the hardest part for me.
I was off of my pain meds since Sunday. Then, I started taking 1/4 of one every 4 hours yesterday. My breasts were really sore. Overall, my breast aug was much more painful than my tummy tuck. I do not think this is normally the way it works, though. I don't know why it was that way for me. I was extremely flat chested before my surgery...so it felt as though my chest was HUGE after. I'm just starting to get used to them now.
I have not posted "after" pictures yet. I was waiting to get my drains out. Now that they are out, I will do it either tonight or tomorrow.
Honestly, the hardest part of this process for me has been emotionally. It's getting much better now!!
Amandav81 3 Feb 2011
I am so excited for you! I wish my day after surgery was here already. I want it to be over and I hate waiting for it to happen! I cannot wait to see your after photos! What size breasts did you choose? I am kind of small chested too, adn my PS recommended a DD for me because my ribs are wide. Ahhhh, I am so excited.
lizzy-j 4 Feb 2011
Prior to surgery, I decided on 375 ccs of silicone. My doctor went with 400ccs because he said that the muscle pushes them down and flattens them out. Right now, they seem overly large when I'm looking at them naked. When I have clothes on, they look normal. I guess it takes 3-6 weeks for them to settle in and for the swelling to go down. I'm anxious to see the final results. I have to go back to work on Feb 14th (your big day!). I'm hoping they will be at least a little better by then!
What size are you going for?
Amandav81 4 Feb 2011
My PS is recommending I go very large.. DD. I am totally fine with that and so is my hubby. LOL. He said he will probably go 675cc high profile memory gel implants. I told him that I trusted his judgement and he has free reign to do to me as he pleases. Anything has to be better than what I have now. :-)
lizzy-j 4 Feb 2011
That's so exciting! I can't wait to see it!

Amandav81 11 Feb 2011
OMG.. I am the same size as you before! My PS is recommending I go DD or 650-700cc silicone gel because I have a wide rib cage and he said it will fill out my top better. I totally tust his decision. I have ALWAYS wanted big ol boobies. :)LOL
48161mcity 11 Feb 2011
Wow thts snds big lol I can't get over how big mine r lol I know in time thy will drop nd go down in size but still lol, well girl if u can pull it off go ahead:) how big r u I mean height ne weight? I'm 5'5 nd 122 befor sx haven't weighd myself yet since sx lol I'm afraid to w all the swelling nd boobies ;)
Amandav81 12 Feb 2011
It is big, but I am worried I will go too small and then not be happy with my results. So I told my PS that I totally trust his decision, and he said the bigger the better. LOL.
You are taller than me. I am 5'2. You are also way thinner than me. I am 160lbs. But I am down from 205lbs, so I am happy with that for now. After surgery, I plan on working out more and losing more weight.
48161mcity 12 Feb 2011
