It has been just 2 weeks since I had the procedure. I have definitely had my ups and downs throughout the process but overall I remain optimistic. The Lipo turned out to be more extensive than first expected. I have to undergo a separate procedure in 6 weeks for the cellulaze.(At no addtional charge) Not sure what happened there but somebody didn't book enough time for the surgical suite. I'm feeling pretty bruised and battered. Day 3 when my ankle swelled up and pooled with blood I was questioning why anyone would voluntarily do this to themselves...
Saying that, it is day 14 and I'm turning the corner. The bruising is receeding quickly and the swelling is going down noticibly. Already I am noticing my pants are too big :)
I am still very sore to sit for any length of time and if anyone bumps into me it is very painful.
I think the cellulaze will finish it off nicely as the lipo doesn't really take care of the cellulite. I don't have any photos to share just yet but I will when I get them.

3 Week update

Not much change really, still sore and wearing the compression garment feels better than not. I am definitely smaller, love the saddlebags being gone. It will be so much easier to buy clothes now. The thing I'm battling with now is whether or not to go through with the cellulaze at the 5 week mark. It's hard to tell with all the lipo what I'm going to look like when I'm done. So on one hand, I think I should wait but, I'll have to go through all the recovery again in a few months if I do wait.
I do want this (compression garments, pain, bruising) to be all over as soon as possible and I want to start lookin good :). Anyone have some experience or advice?

5 month Update

The cellulaze results were not noticable at all until about the 3 month mark. I am noticing quite a bit of smoothing on my butt and back of legs. I'm very happy with the lipo results and I'm going back in to finish the cellulaze on the inner thighs in 2 months. I should be able to see the full results by then and any touch ups required can be done. I still have tingling/mild pain to the touch in the areas where I had the most Lipo. It was all worth it to have the saddlebags gone... :)

Provider Review

Dr. Jeffrey Dawes

As far as the Cellulaze goes I think there was some moderate improvement but to be honest for the price $7000 I don't think it was worth it. Secondly, once my lipo all healed and the swelling went down I would say that I am actually very unhappy with the result. I ended up with asymmetry between my thighs one with not enough taken off and the other with an actual indentation that will require fat grafting to repair. On my abdomen I was left with one fat pocket next to my navel and a lot of loose skin everywhere else. I should have been told I wasn't a candidate for abdominal lipo after 3 pregnancies. He offered to do a correction but at this point the trust is gone. He may be very good for certain procedures but I will emphatically say that he's not your man for lipo.
