So I am booked in for my BA for feb 14th at Beaucare. Have never done a blog or anything and having reading other people's, feel like I'm kinda missin out ;) I am booked in with Dr Van Zele, consultation was with Dr Vrambout, slightly worried as I have heard of Vrambout telling someone how big she will be able to go; then on day of surgery she was told she cant go that big. I am a B and would like a large DD, also have heard of people buying special surgery bras, do I need one of these? As I know Beaucare give you a support bra with the strap across and tell you to wear it for 6 weeks, so why would I need a surgery bra?! Any advice, comments would be really appreciated as I am super scared but super excited...cant sleep at night I'm that excited lol x

The office made me buy one of their bras but a week later doc told me it was too tigh! $40 wasted!!! So get one on your own and take it to surgery day. Dr put me as much as i could stretch and not sag! I rather have firm smaller size than big and saggy :D good luck!

yeah I understand that but fake boobs don't sag do they?! I just don't understand why I need to buy my own when they provide me with a special support one with a strap going across the front

I also bought a bra from my ps but it was rubbing against my incision so I brought a front closure sports bra. On my post op visit I was told the sports bra was fine since it held my boobies together. Rule of thumb ask your ps staff. Good luck

thanks, where I am going provide you with a support bra, included in the price, im just curious at why girls who have also been there continue to take support bras along with them

My best advice would be to communicate your goals very carefully. The use of cup sizes as a reference ( for example DD cup) can be subjective and a source of miscommunication. You may find the use of goal pictures helpful during the communication process. Best wishes.

I have seen a mixture of people either taking Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.....I am given Tramadol for the first few days but what shall I take after, as I have read posts about Ibuprofen causing the blood to thin. Any advice on the best painkillers to take? I want to be in as little pain as poss! Thanks :)

Different docs do it different. I went from a 36A to a 36DDD. 700cc bilaterally. And I loooovvvvveeee them!! And NO they should not sag!! You asked about pain meds. The surgery is a total breeze!! NOT scary or even freaky in any way I swear! But after you will be tender for a bit. The first few days will be the only time you will have pain. It's manageable. I got Percocet 10's. and I needed a pain reliever that strong. Tramadol is good for a headache but think you might revisit the meds issue with your doc. Day 3 is usually the worst. But it's not that bad!! I never had to wear a surgical bra at all. I was wrapped tightly with ace bandages and that was it. But do what your doc recommends. And lye back and enjoy. Get some boost or ensure and bendy straws. Perhaps pudding and light fruit. You may feel nauseous and not feel like eating and that's ok. Just try to keep some nutrients going in. Post op is a bit uncomfortable but very short lived!! Do Not Fret!! Get lots of rest before and after! Your body regenerates when you sleep so I think it makes for a shorter recovery time. Ask your doc about a stronger pain med. with today's modern medicine, there is no reason to have pain. You will do great!! Can't wait to see and hear all about it!!

hi, 5 days to go now! u went to a 700cc? im worried they wont even fit a 400 cc in me as I am very slim, I want to go to a big DD
User Avatar
February 10, 2014
I was a bit heavier when I had my BA. I am 5'6 and about 135 pounds now but I think they still fit my body. Yes, 700cc is big. My PS and I both would have never thought That such a big implant would look so great on me. I am also very small framed. I wanted big boobies tho and I have lost even more weight. I have been a 36DDD but I'm thinking I need to get some 34DDD bras. I love them tho! I really do!! Friday is comin right up!! You will do great!! You should see your PS right before you go in. Make sure you let him know what you want. Make sure you are both on the same page and leave it in his hands. You are going to be great!! Try not to be scared! There is nothing to fear! Try to remember your PS has done this a million times! He knows what you want so just clarify it and lie back and relax. You will do fine!!

Thankyou so much for your kind words, as I draw closer to Friday it is so comforting hearing kind words and reading all of your stories.. I only see him for the hour before my surgery, I have a picture of my dream boobs which I will be showing him. Yours are looking amazing they was quite bruised at first wasn't they, could that happen to mine? xx
User Avatar

No worries!! Yes, I was bruised a bit but it looked a LOT worse than it was. They weren't painful at all. Maybe because the implant was large and my insertion was just under the nipple. I guess there was a bit of stretching envolved. It was all good tho! With that nipple incision I have absolutely NO DETECTION that I ever had a surgery. But! IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT!! I couldn't be happier! I have had an A cup for 47 years and NOW I HAVE BIG OLE BOOBS!! Just remember to follow your heart and go as big as u can. If I had a nickle for every post I have read that said "I wish I went bigger" I would be able to get the nose job I need as well. Hahaha. You really don't have a thing to worry about! The procedure is quick and you don't know a thing that happened till u wake up from what feels like the BEST night sleep EVER and you have BOOBIES!!! BAM!! Just like that! The first few days I was tender. I was taking Percocet 10 which is oxycodone and pretty strong. I would make sure you have a GOOD Pain killer ready for when u get home. Those will help u sleep too which is good. I know you will be great!! Can't wait to see!! Good luck and feel free to contact me for any questions you may have!! XOXO

Ooooh you shouldn't have told me that! I have lots of questions for you then! Who did you have ur consultation with? who did your surgery? what painkillers did you take? did you take the tramadol? how r they looking now have they started to drop? im so scared but so excited too, thanks for messaging [RS bleep]

Consultation was with Dr Vrambout in London, surgery with Dr Sara Ulens. I have been taking tramadol, paracetamol and ibuprofen. They have dropped a tiny bit but swelling has reduced a lot. Just waiting for them to drop. Still in a bit of pain every so often - couldn't deal or cope with the support bra they provide it was killing me and I got a wound infection so I have purchased two Tesco sport bras (£4 each) and two londsdale sport bras (2 for £12 in sport direct) and my recovery has been good since then. Returning to work tomorrow but don't think I'm ready, was meant to be today but wasn't feeling well enough. Morning boob is a bloody pain and sleeping upright for the first week is also annoying - I am now just sleeping elevated on my back. Main pain for me was first 5-7 days [RS bleep]

did you go as big as Vrambout said you could? how much tramadol did they give you was it a few days worth?
User Avatar
January 21, 2014
Nope! He said 300-330 so I researched for over three months and decided on 325 then at my surgery my frame wasn't even wide enough to hold the implants. I went with 285. I wish I had a consultation elsewhere but wouldn't of changed my clinic purely because of the price and the feedback etc. I couldn't be happier with my results but a more detailed consultation with a proper size measurement. Sorry they give you ten tramadol but my boyfriends mum has loads so she gave me loads and they were a godsend. I would really advise getting some prescribed from your doctor when you come home [RS bleep]

was you not pissed that you couldn't go as big as he said? ive heard quite a few who couldn't go as big as he said....I have been told 450 so I have that in my head now and I just think if I get told any lower on the day im going to get really pissed off I do have a short temper esp when I haven't eaten! I can see myself storming off in a strop if I don't get what he said! lol [RS bleep]

Yeah I was annoyed but she said I could have gone the next size up which was 305 but it would have been such a risk cos they would be too big for my body. I took loads of wish pics on my iPad and showed her the results I wanted to achieve and the main thing I wanted was a nice cleavage but also a bit natural. I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I'm lying flat tonight for the first time since the op I can already feel myself dozing lol! I just hope I can get out of bed lol! How are you getting to Belgium and is anybody going with you? [RS bleep]

I had surgery in September 2013. I took narcotics for a short while. I believe it was Tylenol #3. I did not take ibuprofen because it is an NSAID. I was told to take no NSAIDs because they cause the blood to thin. Best of luck to you!
User Avatar

that's what I thought about ibuprofen that it causes the blood to thin, but I have read many girls; posts who have taken it, Tylenol? is that American? thanks x

The strap was brutal for me and I was on muscle relaxers for the first two weeks. Keep this in mind as something to ask your doctor for. I went a but large with 550ccs, so it may be why I needed muscle relaxers because I was super tight. Good luck and I would try to get in for a few minutes with your surgeon ahead of the day to show him your wish pic as well as bringing it with you day of surgery. I had uncontrollable chills when I got home so have several blankets ready for your caregiver to use on you just in case.

can ovulation affect size?!

User Avatar
Small B 2 a DD
so another random question.... my breasts grow about a cup size when im ovulating and just before my period! they look a good size, however when im not ovulating they go tiny and look nothing like they do wen I am ovulating! on day of surgery, if im not ovulating is this a chance the surgeon will put a smaller implant in me because I will look smaller? I keep thinking if my boobs look bigger then I will get a bigger implant!? helpppp
