I just found out today that my surgery is scheduled for 2/21/12! Woot woot My 41st Birthday is Friday, Happy Birthday to me! I have three children: 13, 11 & 9. I actually don't outwardly appear to "need" a tummy tuck. I am 5' 11" 148 lbs in decent shape. My three pregnancies have still left me with unsightly extra saggy skin and stretch marks. I literally need to keep tucking my extra skin into my jeans throughout the day. I would also really love to wear a bikini again:)

When I decided to schedule my consultation I was bound and determined to be at my goal weight so we could move forward with scheduling. I actually ended up below my goal weight so I've started strength training. I have a bit of work to do on my thighs and rear so I've kicked into high gear since I won't be able to for a while! PS recommended a FTT to remove as many stretch marks as possible.

PS said flank Lipo unnecessary, MR will be determined at time of surgery. PS does typically perform tummy tucks at his private certified surgical suite with two exceptions. I happen to be one of them! He will perform the procedure at Newton-Wellesley hospital due to a family history of Malignant Hyperthermia which is genetic and can lead to serious complications with general anesthesia. I will meet with an anesthesiologist to discuss my options on 2/14/12. This did affect my final bottom line price. The $9750 for the procedure included the additional costs of having the procedure in the hospital.

Naturally I think highly of this PS since I've scheduled to have a tummy tuck with him. I also can't say enough good things about his staff, especially Pam who worked her magic to get me on the OR schedule for February vacation week in less than three weeks! I would also love to thank another Real Self Reviewer for returning my private message and giving me the referral:) All of her feedback was spot on! Oh yeah...my husband is awesome for supporting me in my decision and taking care of me...:)

My rating:

Dr. Davidson is very talented and professional, I can't say enough good things about him and his staff, I feel that he didn't skimp with anything and made sure my goals were met and my aftercare was made as comfortable as possible. My scar is super low, shorter than I expected and I'll be back in his office to refresh my face too...maybe a BA next year...we will see:)

Thx Liddysue! I'm hoping:) Have you had TT yet?
liddysue 2 Feb 2012

Congrats Ace - it will be here before you know it!! You look wonderful already so I'll bet your results will knock your socks off! ;-)
Aceydoo 3 Feb 2012
Thx MaumeeMG! I'm excited, a little nervous:)
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 3 Feb 2012
I was nervous too. I can't believe I'm almost 4 weeks post op! You look like you are active/fit so make sure you get your head around NOT moving/using abs for 4 solid weeks, especially if you end up with muscle repair. You'll feel like you can start being "normal" at 2 weeks but resist!! You don't want to undo what the doc did in there. ;-) Check out the forums - the Dec tt'ers and Jan tt'ers (I was Jan 9th) forums have tons of info about stuff to have on hand for recovery.

Wow! I just read your review MaumeeMG your transformation is amazing and you look awesome! I will have a VERY tough time not exercising! I find running a huge stress relief and I'm working hard and eating right. I've made so much progress with my current regime I'm afraid to stop! But I'll do whatever I have to :) I probably will end up with MR since the three pregnancies and I will have it if needed but I'm kinda wishing I don't need it:)
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 3 Feb 2012
Thank you! It is HARD not moving (and I swear I can feel my butt getting bigger lol) but I'll hang back and hit it hard in a couple weeks. ;-)

You are going to have Great Results!!!
Aceydoo 11 Feb 2012

Hi, I'm scheduled for next week, kids similar in age... I will be 45 next month. I work out a lot too, cant seem to get rid of my saggy skin and sad looking belly button... Good luck!
Aceydoo 12 Feb 2012
Hi there,

You must be so excited..I am pre-testing Valentine's Day and I'm sure the week will fly by! The not exercising is going to be the hardest part I think. I am kind of wishing I looked into the mommy makeover myself...I just CANNOT wait to get into a bikini! :) What day next week?
Zoomzoom1 12 Feb 2012
Sorry, it's Wed. Next week. Read the next post too... Still trying to figure this whole thing out! Thanks!
Zoomzoom1 12 Feb 2012
We'd. At 1:00. Kind of bummed it's so late... But because I am staying over PS does those later. Yes, not looking forward to not exercising... Just started Pilates and LOVE it! Can see a difference after only 2 weeks. That's good incentive, that when I do start again, it wont take long to get back... Just trying to come up with excuses to why I can't go for the next 6 weeks or so... ( I haven't told anyone about the surgery, and it's my friend in the neighborhood who teaches Pilates...)
Aceydoo 13 Feb 2012
That must be hard! For some reason I have no problem telling anyone except my MIL/SILs...the day I got botox in my forehead (another first) I ran around telling everyone that too...I must be out of my mind:)
Zoomzoom1 25 Feb 2012
That's funny! I have been getting Botox for a year now, haven't told anyone except my hubby and sis! Didn't even tell my mom!
shoesz7 15 Feb 2012
Best of luck, Acey! You are going to be so happy you did it. And happy early birthday to ya! My tt was my xmas gift to myself :)
Aceydoo 15 Feb 2012
I will be so happy! I just had my pre-test at the hospital on Tuesday and it looks like there weren't any issues so full speed ahead at this point. I am feeling so guilty though, I have come such a long way that my clothes already look great on and I probably won't look much different after BUT I still look horrible in a bikini b/c the extra skin....feel so shallow for being motivated by a bikini!!!
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 15 Feb 2012
Hey acey - we need to take our motivation from wherever we can get it!! ;-)
shoesz7 17 Feb 2012
Acey, if you're shallow than so am I!! I did it for a belly button =)
Aceydoo 25 Feb 2012
Shoez7, it is still gross looking but I already can tell that I'm going to love my new BB too!! Yeah for us!!!:)K
Soccermom11 (RealFriend) 24 Feb 2012
How are you doing? You had your sugery right?
Soccermom11 (RealFriend) 24 Feb 2012
Looks great! I can see the swelling. It always keep the binder on. It helps so much. An stay away from gassy foods..I'm so happy for you!
Aceydoo 25 Feb 2012
Thanks! I can't wait for swelling to go down to get a better idea! Already made the gassy food mistake once....a lot more diligent now:)K Thanks for the messages and checking in, PO visit on Wednesday AM...:)K
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 24 Feb 2012
Yay Acey - you made it!! It's awesome that you are in such a positive mood - I think it helps the healing process so much! Don't forget to take your stool softeners and drink lots of water. You look great!!
