How much did the obagi blue peel cost and what was the down time? And how much was the co2?? Was it painful? I just started to break out again ugh!! I want a good doctor to help fix my skin! I'm sick of pounding makeup on to feel ok.. I reallyyyy appreciate your comment... And 50-60% improvement is amazing an I'd be beyond happy with those results...

Hi again! Yeah, I sooo understand how you feel. Well, the Obagi Blue Peel costed me 600 dlls. but some Drs. will charge about 450, 500, etc. I think mine was a deeper peeling, like a double base or something like that, it's been since 2006, I can't remember that far, but it did kill my acne for about 2 years, and it helped with the skin color, to remove ugly brown patches from the breakouts. So in 2010, I took "Accutane" a real strong drug to kill your acne, my Dr. prescribed it for 2 months only, a small dose of 20mg. It killed my acne completely. Then I had 2 light chemical peels, and for 2 years using MERMAMELAN TREATMENT cream, that it removes dead cells daily. Anyway, so I got tired of just using creams to remove pigmentation, I wanted "the real deal" something strong that would remove those awful "deep scars", so I decided to get Mixto co2 Laser. Since I only have scars on my cheeks, my technician said she would go very light on the rest of the face, and on the cheeks she would go very aggressive. The pain for the laser was mild, almost no pain, the only turn off is that you must wear tons of vaseline day and night for 7-10 days. Ok, for 10 days, I can deal with that, but the biggest turn off is that your face will stay really dark red for about 6-8 weeks. So you got to be mentally prepared for that, you got to program your brain that for 2 months, you got to deal with the insecurity problems. Anyway, my face healed fine, no complications, it just took 2 months for the redness to completely go away. That's all, but seriously.....IT IS SOOO WORTH IT!!!! It's been 8 months since I had it done, my face looks so pretty, rosy color, no dark patches, it has such a beautiful natural glow, but I still have some acne scars that are deep. The cost for OBAGI blue peel was 600 dlls. Cost for Mixto Laser was 1,200 Dlls. **If you decide to take ACCUTANE to end your acne, you must wait a whole year to have Mixto laser done to your face, or it will make your skin turn dark. But any clinic that u go, if you decide to go for the laser, they will ask you if you have taken ACCUTANE before, and when, etc. I think that's the name of it, I hope I spelled it right, sorry, in hurry here.....hehe!

The downtime for the Obagi Blue Peel was just 1 week, after a week, you can go back to your normal life!!!

And it helped with cystic deep acne, the kind you can't really see but can feel? And what about the reoccurring cyst that always come back in the sameeee spots? I think I'll look into getting that before the laser treatment..... Thanks a lot for your responses

I'm so happy for your that you had such great results, have you thought of ding fillers for the remaining scars.... I'm going to look into the laser and the peel. I don't break out nearly as much as I use to... Baking soda seems to speed up the healing time on acne cyst. So mixto is better in your opinion than fraxel co2

Yes, I agree with you, I think you should start with a few chemical peels (like the obagi blue peel, or vi peel,etc.) And after 2 or 3 peels, discuss with your doctor about the laser procedure. I think the only difference between Fraxel co2 and Mixto co2 is just the name brand, but they are both "co2". I got Mixto cuz that's what my Doctor has. I did that cystic acne, and that Obagi blue peel made it go away for a good while.
