Hi Blonde!!!  So great to see you again, and congratulations on your first anniversary!!!!  I agree with everything you said--except that I never feel like I wish I hadn't had the surgery :).  But you're so right!  Once you get this done, keeping it up is huge.  Before the surgery, I was working super hard to try to get to this place that was impossible to reach.  But after the surgery, it became possible, so now I work so hard to get/stay there.  The difference being the attainable versus unattainable.  And the fact that I now look like I spend hours in the gym, instead of just spending hours in the gym, makes it so much easier than before.  Still waffling about when to get my dog-ears removed, though.  So hard to get the time when I have to fly out of state!  You look great!  Hope to see another update in a few months :):):):)

Hey twoplusone!! I get like that on days I don't work out/ like I wouldn't be so - I have to work out to maintain or get thinner. I totally agree that things are attainable!!! Love that part!!!

Thank you for updating your profile, one year! I had to do my surgeries in stages for health reasons, it was pricier but my well being is worth it. I had a TT, lipo to flanks and back 11 months ago, I wasn't happy with the results, I started to gain all my weight back and my tummy did not look like I had anything done. It was also lumpy on one side than the other. Recently on 10/3/13, I had my dog ear removed and touched up lipo of the abs, had a BA and lipo to the arms. My favorite thing was the touch up lipo to my abs, it smoothed it out, and my tummy is flat for the first time, it was never flat after my TT. I'm reserving my review about my BA until later, they are not what I want just yet. I'm most dissapointed about the lipo to my arms, I had 13" arms and they did not even go down a full inch, I had asked my PS if he thought he could take off at least 3" and he said yes. I praying I'm still swollen, but being a month out, I doubt it, I payed a lot of money for that and it was really important to me because I am small and my arms are so disproportionate to the rest of my body. Anyway, I know I'm ranting...please keep us updated, you have inspired me to get off my butt and go back to the gym, you are so right, all that money down the drain and putting my body through all that, its worth getting off my butt! You look amazing!

You look amazing Blonde!! I know what you mean about it being a continuous effort to stay looking good. I was injured for 3 months this summer and not being able to work out at all...I gained 10 pounds. Now I have to work hard to get it off. But my PS said he was going to do some touch-up lipo on me too in January. So I am looking forward to that. Tell me, did the lipo hurt near as bad the second time as it did the first time? My ps said it won't be as bad since I am numb in my tummy. But you've gone through it so I'd like to hear it from you.

Thank you for your update. I have followed your journey since the very beginning. Your information has been so valuable to me. I also have a bulge above my belly button, similar to what you had. I am attributing it to the extensive muscle repair. You look absolutely amazing!

1 year after surgery *pics*

I can't believe it's been a year!!! This time last year I was sooooooo out of it and in pain. So glad I am a year out!!!
I am extremely happy I got done what I did. There are days - very few and far between that I think I wish I hadn't had the surgery. I say that because especially in the 1st few months it was way more mentally challenging then I thought it would be.
A few things to remember the swelling last a LONG time! The difference between post op 4 months and 1 year your body changes so much!!! Also for me I have to think long term, changed my eating habits and try to workout 5-7 days a week. I didn't get the way I was cause I ate healthy and worked out on a regular basis. I think somewhere in the back of my mind I thought I would have surgery and then not have to do anything after- wrong! I started really working out @ 4 months - wish I had done it sooner- and haven't stopped:-) I made a life style change, didn't go with this fad or some new work out that everyone is doing and I committed! Your ps can do wonders but you have to help your results- that is the biggest lesson I took away from surgery. For me if I didn't I would be right now where I was a year ago. Not saying my ps didn't do an AMAZING job but it's my job now to keep it up:-)
One thing I am surprised about is the tightened, sensitivity and numbness I feel in my abs- it's not bad just different and weird feeling. But hey I will take that for a mostly flat tummy!!!
The reason I said sometimes I wish I hadn't had the surgery is on the days I feel like oh I just want to laze and not do anything I know I can't. Why spend all the money I did and work out here or there or stop and start working out, or eat healthy for a few weeks and go back to not? This surgery changed the way I live my life and has made me WAY more healthy- never thought ps would do that!!
Hope everyone is going well! Good luck on everyone's upcoming surgeries, those who are in recovery/ this too shall pass and recovery is a roller coaster but you will make it through, and those who are waiting- it stinks I waited 6 months to get mine- but it will be here eventually!!! I will add photos in a bit! Happy healing

You do look amazing! I don't see what you see, but I know how critical we are of ourselves. I can't believe how fast time goes by, going on 8 months already!!! I too might have to have some steroid injected by my belly button. It's not very smooth, so I'm a little disappointed. See what my dr will do in November.
