Hi :)
I'm getting my boobs done this Saturday with The Hospital Group at Birmingham and my doctor is the famous Mario Russo. I was meant to have had them done by now. My operation was set for the 4th May. I woke up at the crack of dawn and got to Birmingham from London at 7, and after waiting at the hospital for 6 hours, I was told my implants hadn't arrived. And it being bank holiday weekend, they wouldn't arrive anytime soon. Not only that, but due to my doctor's busy schedule, I would have to postpone 20 days later. I was so pissed off at the how unprofessional the situation was and the nurses sympathy was perfunctory. And to top it all off, my advisor didn't even call to apologise (even if it wasn't her fault), but custom care is very poor at THG. Once I had paid for the procedure, there was a noticeable decline in response time and just general care. However, my surgeon is highly sought after and I'd been recommended to him by a friend, so honestly, that's the only reason why I'm putting up with THG.
But rant over *calm thoughts*, I'm excited and shall write an update probably on Friday or Saturday.

Implants were here, everything went smoothly. Well almost. I had arranged a cab with the hospital, however it arrived at the wrong address, so I arrived half an hour late to the hospital, but that was fine. I was taken to my room fairly quickly and after an hour I was prepped for surgery. The nurses here today are so lovely and the anaesthetist was hilarious. I am absolutely petrified of needles, but the actually injection of the needle didn't hurt, but the anaesthetic going through my blood vessels stung like a witch. 'Twas a really painful, heavy sensation, but I fell asleep after what seemed like quite a while. Luckily I have not experienced any side effects due to the anaesthetic, so I'm glad about that.
I ended up going with 375cc in each breast, over the muscle, and my implants are medium profile. This is the largest size my surgeon suggested for me. They're the premium gummy bear Allergan round ones. After surgery, I felt so upbeat and incredibly happy. I was thanking everyone personally and just expressing my joy. My boyfriend found this particularly funny. I cannot say I am in ANY PAIN! And I am such a wimpy drama queen, so I'm pleasantly surprised. I just feel a mild to strong discomfort. It is comparable to the tenderness you feel after you've worked out. Personally, I find that pain kind of pleasurable, especially when you know it's due to a great work out, so this doesn't bother me at all.
I am able to go the loo by myself, sit up, lift my arms over my head and stretch a little. My chest feels tight, but I can take deep breaths without any agonising pain. Water cures my dry throat perfectly and talking is no issue. I'm really glad I went over the muscle (though I had to), because I feel recovery will be a piece of cake.
My nipples are numb, so I hope the sensitivity returns. From the photos you'll see I have quite large nipples, so they've stretched and are rather pointy, which looks funny. I'm wearing a 32D sports bra (from BHS) and I fill it our weirdly due to the high position of the implants on my chest. I've got great cleavage compared to before and that's one of the things I wanted. I haven't had any bruising - I'm not sure whether that's due to the 4 30c Arnica pillules I took the night before.
So far so good. My BP is a little on the low side, but nothing worrying. I've been feeling a bit sleepy, but I didn't get much sleep the previous night, but when I'm awake I'm pretty alert. I can't believe I've done it! Feels so surreal - bloody finally! I'm so grateful to my boyfriend who has been a star and the hospital staff as well.
I'm so excited to see them change! I'll keep on updating this too :)

Funny Tummy
naomi94May 26, 2014
My tummy hurts due to the meds. I'm constipated and feel nauseated. I'm used to the soreness of my boobs now, not so used to the weight everytime I sit up.
My breasts are softer than before. Still high up and pert, but I can squidge them a bit. As I went over the muscle, nice cleavage was created as I had none whatsoever. My skin feels pretty taut and hurts down the middle.
Again, it's discomfort rather than pain :) can't wait to get off these meds (codeine and antibiotics)!
