I had my implants done in 2002. When I got my breast implants, I requested a large B or a small C from my doctor and when it was all said and done, I ended up with a DD! I left it alone at the time because they were definitely nice but as time went on and 13 years passed my breasts became too heavy saggy. I had known for about 5 years that I would want them out but the back and neck pain and newly slouchy figured helped me decide that it was much needed. I went back the physician who performed my tummy tuck in 2007 (different physician than my breast implant doctor) because I was extremely please with how my tummy tucked turned out and I love this doctor's bedside manner. The office staff are amazing and took care of ALL my needs promptly and always with a smile. I will be returning this physician time and time again should I have future needs and I highly recommend him to everyone who asks me!

Drain tube!

Hello everyone...I am 3 days post op from my implant removal and breast lift. I was told that I could remove my bandages after 24-48 hours but not to touch the steri strips. I chose to remove the bandages yesterday and if course they were stuck to my strips and drains from blood. I tried to be as gentle as I could but ended up lightly yanking on one of my drain tubes! Now I am in so much pain where the drain opening is. Also I removed only part of my bandages because after only a few minutes I started bleeding from various areas. Has anyone ever accidentally yanked on your drain tube causing horrible pain?

One last thing, my doctor took some before pics of me...I didn't. I will post those up along with my 5 day post op pics this coming Tuesday. :)

11 days post op

I know that an 11 day update is kind of odd but the days go by and I'm not all about 5,10,15 days, etc on updates. This is more like a "how I'm doing" type of update.

Well, I posted on the drain tube and the pain I thought was associated with that and I had the tubes removed last Thursday and I still have the pain. It is lessening so I'm just going with pain associated with such an invasive process. I want to exercise (my lower body with some cardio) however I see how I hurt if I just go errand running so I'm going to give it one more week before I do so or at least see how I feel the end of this week. I also took some 5 day post op pics but I feel they may scare some from getting surgery unless they see my before photos to get an idea of what I was working with from the start. As soon as my doctor releases the photos to me I will put up before pics with the 5 day pics as well as maybe some 15 or so day post op pics.

Now ladies, I do not want anyone to get discouraged or wonder if this is worth it. I feel that it is, even with the ugliness you see immediately post op. The scars fade and your breasts start to settle and become more normal with time. I know that in some cases it takes longer or in even a few cases they don't really end up looking too normal at all. I feel that what is important to remember is that most of us on this forum are here for encouragement and from what I can tell most of us are removing our implants for health reasons with a smaller ratio doing it because they are just too big and uncomfortable. For me it is all those reasons AND the fact that I can't wear anything unless it's stretchy across the chest and then I have to add safety pins, tape, etc. I can't stand that anymore and I just want my body to look normal and not so top heavy. If I want to wear loose clothing then I look like I'm pregnant! I can already see a difference (with swelling) in clothing. My jackets are buttoning across my chest, some of my tops are too big, and I bought a smaller bra already. I told my doctor I wanted a lift and I wanted it to be perky and that's exactly what I got. I appear to have cleavage as though I had an augmentation and they are very tight feeling but I know they will settle in with time and I imagine they will be about a C cup and they will be all mine. Oddly enough the one thing I am having the most trouble with is not being able to lay on my stomach or sides for now due to the post op pain but I should be able to do so soon.
Again, I will have photos up as soon as I can.
Thanks all!

Dr. Kim is always VERY pleasant and explains what he is going to do at length. He truly cares for his patients and attends to their needs. He also takes as much time as the patient needs rather than rushing in and out on an appointment. Fabulous physician!
