Deciding on a surgeon to complete such a life-altering procedure is NOT an easy task. After extensive online research, I had narrowed my search to 2 surgeons. I had gone on one consultation prior to my meeting Dr. Jabs and while that clinic was just as reputable and pristine, I felt there was a personable touch missing. I was pleased to find that with Dr. Jabs and his staff. Firstly, the new office was beautiful with a location that was super convenient for me, making pre and post-op appointments a breeze. I worked with Joanne, the lead patient coordinator for the practice, who was such a delight to correspond with from the moment I made my initial appointment. I met with Dr. Jabs for my first consultation about 2 month before my procedure and immediately I felt comfortable not only with his expertise and skill set but also with his ability to relate to his patients. He patiently answered all of my questions, ensuring that I was comfortable with my decision. I, like most women, had asymmetrical breasts, with my right breast slightly larger than my left. Dr. Jabs offered the great idea to attempt to balance them out, placing a slightly larger implant in the smaller breast to balance out the asymmetry. We discussed high profile versus moderate profile, silicone versus saline. He then took photos, which Joanne later uploaded into their digital system, which allows them to adjust the photos to the size of your choosing. This was such an amazing help in guiding my decision making process. I initially had one size in mind, but after Joanne sent me several variations, I was able to make an informed decision, which, 5 months later I am still thrilled about! Once the decision was made, I placed a small deposit and anxiously awaited my final pre-op visit (which was really to confirm my decision on sizing, go over pre and post op instructions and make final payments- another shoutout to Joanne for being so amazing throughout that process). The office was offering a special, which I thought was fantastic given their reputation. With a more than reasonable price tag, I was ready to unite with my new breasts! When "B-Day" finally came, I went to the clinic with my mom (my cheerleader), was able to meet with Dr. Jabs, the anesthesiologist and some of the other OR staff and within 3 hours, I was out with my new girls! I was wrapped up and feeling good, with very minimal pain. Dr. Jabs called me that evening to check in on me followed by Joanne the next day. My post-op experience was just as smooth as my pre-op and my results to date are a dream. They look and feel so natural, I almost forget that they weren't there 5 months ago. So happy with my decision to go through with the procedure and so grateful to Dr. Jabs and his amazing team for a job well done!
