Almost one year post op!

I cannot believe that in just four days it will have been a year since my BA. To anyone on the fence, DO IT!! This was by far the best thing that I have ever done for myself. I feel so much more confident in myself and I LOVE my result. They are exactly like the pics I showed Dr. Freel. I ended up being a 36D or 34DD after surgery, which is perfect for my frame. I still wear a sports bra just about every night, I am just more comfortable that way! I had pretty bad stretch marks at first (my B cup sized skin had to adjust to fit D sized implants!), but they have all faded for the most part and they aren't even noticeable. I could not be more happy about my result (no booby greed at all!). I don't even remember what I used to look like before and for that I'm thankful! Moral of my story: Get your boobs done! I promise if you find the right surgeon, you won't regret it :)

Four Weeks Post Op!

So as of tomorrow I will officially be four weeks post op! I cannot believe it's been almost one month since I had my surgery. My life has pretty much resumed to normal. I am so excited to be able to exercise again! I got the clearance from the doc to do everything except for engage my pec muscles obviously and it feels great! I have been running almost every day this week with two sports bras on because that's what he recommended. It's amazing how much my implants have dropped over the past three weeks and I didn't notice at all because I have been looking at them every single day, but when I decided to take a picture today and compare them to my one week post-op picture, OMG. You can definitely tell a difference! I encourage all of you to take pictures, not everyday and not even every week, but enough to where when you look at the two compared you will be genuinely excited about your progress! Right now I am currently fitting comfortably into a 36 D at Victoria's secret. I bought one bra with no underwire for times when I go out and dress up. I feel though that when my boobs fully drop and fluff that I will be a DD because my implants are still riding high, like they still have a shelf like look about them from the side. Overall I am so happy and so much more confident with myself! This is the best purchase I have ever made in my life. Oh and PS for all of the saline haters out there who say it feels "unnatural" and "hard". I don't know how anything could ever feel any more like my own breast tissue. I also have zero ripples. I am so glad that I didn't waste another $1000 dollars because these are AMAZING!!! Obviously I am in love lol

One week post op :)

So I am way past due for an update, but life has been so busy lately! The first few days post-op were a blur of meds and elevated pillows and netflix, but by day 5 post op I was at an NBA basketball game, back to my normal self! There are only a few things that still bug me, like laying on my side for a long time or wearing shirts/bras that rub against my incisions. I barely even get "morning boob" any more and I am sleeping totally flat now, no longer elevated. I have been amazed at how fast I have recovered from this surgery. I mean I eat healthy and I take my vitamins, but I am by no means a health freak or overly health conscious. I guess all it takes is taking care of yourself and having people around that care for you to help you take care of yourself and of course listening to your doctor's instructions. Speaking of doctor, I want to do a quick recap of the day of surgery. So I got the office at noon and then they took me back to do a urine test to make sure I wasn't pregnant (duh no). Then I took off my clothes from the waist up and put on a hospital gown, cap, and booties. Then they started my IV and gave me some fluids and an IV antibiotic. Then Dr. Freel came in and marked me up and I said my last goodbyes to my mom and boyfriend. I got the MAJOR panics when I went into the operating room and saw all of the tools and sharp objects laid out to use on me. Even though I am a nurse and I see these tools on the daily, it's totally different when the tools are all laid out to be used on you. Then they laid me on the table and strapped me in and the anesthesiologist said he was putting the "feel goods" in my IV and after that the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room. This was the worst part of the whole experience. I could feel everything. I was totally alert and awake. Not groggy at all. It literally felt like my chest was going to burst open. Finally after eating some saltines and drinking a cup of sprite, I was released to go home. The nurse told my mom that I was the most alert patient that she had ever had after surgery. That she would give me another 2mg of morphine and expect me to doze off to sleep and I would still be there looking at her. Lol good thing or bad? I'm not sure. Anyway I totally suggest packing your car down with pillows because if you have any kind of ride home the ride will be brutal, every bump was torture for me. My ride was 30mins long and that was about how long it took for my oral pain meds to actually kick in. After the ride home, I settled into my bed with a fortress of pillows and my trusty apple TV and kept up with my pain meds. After day one I was done with the way the pain meds made me feel so I stuck the the muscle relaxers and advil. Anyway sorry for the book I just wrote, but I am attaching some week one progress pictures. Happy healing or dreaming of boobs fellow real selfers!!
