I am 30 years old and I have 36K breast....not...

I am 30 years old and I have 36K breast....not only are they 36K but they are very thick. I decided to have this surgery because even after weight loss they were still huge and uncomfortable. I feel as if I am missing out on so much from:
Wearing pretty dresses and bras to being able to actively take part in sports.

My mom also has big breasts but of the three daughters, I was the only one who inherited this gene.

I am concerned that I will not be able to breastfeed my future children and I was waiting until I was married to have children. However that has not happened as yet and the pain, discomfort, fatigue and general awkwardness is taking it's toll on me.

It's time for change.

My surgery is scheduled for July 02 2012. I am awaiting confirmation from my insurance company and I am really hoping and praying that it is approved.

I'm not scared to have the procedure...been researching it for years...only fear is not waking up .

Will keep you posted as the days go by.

My only question is weight loss after surgery? What are the effects that have been experienced ?

So it's on ladies! I will make Payments next week...

So it's on ladies! I will make Payments next week ? insurance came through and they are covering 3/4 of the surgeon fees. I will also receive benefits from hospital to cut down costs. I'm not scared, more so excited and hoping for an outcome, I would like. I'm told I will have an over night stay post op to monitor anything. I will also be banded instead of wearing a compression bra or sports bra immediately post op.

The day will be here sooner than I think....going under general anesthesia and will be visiting with that doctor on June 20th.

Then it's full steam ahead...

I completed payments for the PS and hospital only...

I completed payments for the PS and hospital only the anesthetist is left. I see him on the 20 th I also have my second preop on that date.

Nervous .... Nope
Really looking forward to the change...definitely!!

I'm just praying for a good outcome and a restful period of healing and recuperation.

Is there anything I should ask the PS at this stage as well as the anesthetist.

I was having some difficulty finding a front closure sports bra but I made an order online and I'm really hoping that it arrives here with time to spare.

My family has also been very supportive and I dunno why but since my first preop I feel as of my breasts have tripled in size....it's like I got a startling revaluation of how big they really are lol.

Looking forward to sharing the rest of my journey with you.

You guys have been so helpful and have truly enlightened me on so much.

Thanks a lot!

One week to go...! Nervous not really, more...

One week to go...!

Nervous not really, more concerned about the outcome....look and feel...need some perkiness!!! Lol

This has been one exciting journey and my body will thank me for it....especially my back!

I did it! The process happened yesterday and I feel pretty good. Was a bit nauseous and dizzy post op but after vomiting everything got better. Stayed overnight and im home now. Lots lighter and I can feel les strain around my neck and shoulders for sure!! SittIng upright wasn't painful and the smaller size is definintely noticeable. Will post more later, tired.

4 days post op and I'm doing pretty well. I had 6lbs removed...woahhhh. I was already told that I look smaller and my back is more erect. Pain has been minimal just at the incision sites and with certain movements but otherwise all is well. Using a 38 DD compression bra; very swollen boobs for sure but they look great, perky and cutesie.

Taking it easy at present not rushing a thing lol and it feels so peaceful to just chill out. This is only the beginning but I'm very grateful for the love and support.

Took my first bath this morning and clearly my tummy is too huge. Having some back pain still dunno if it is from the sleeping or if boobs still too heavy.

Will post pics soon.

Had my first post op visit, doctor says I am healing well...I still feel huge...was sad. Hoping it's just swelling...felt smaller when I was first at the hospital.

Great review?

Hey Tammika! How is it going? Man I have been trying to post on this page for 3 weeks lol. I hope you are doing well. Are you still healing or swollen? I hope everything is good. Even though, you are not at the size yo wanted, I still think that is smaller than what you had and they look GREAT!! I went the PS 3weeks ago, and to my surprise they made me feel really confortable. I was so shocked. This is the same doctor that I wanted to switch before. They explained everything fully. They even waived my copay for me when I went in. So they re-did some measurements and they scheduled me for my surgery date which is October 11th! I'm excited! I feel like my breast gotten bigger, because I just started birth control. Which they have because he said the measurements were a bit bigger. But other than that, I'm still excited to have smaller breast than what I have now. I have so much support from family, friend and your guys that its amazing! So I have a week left before the surgery.

Tammika..I think going from K to G is an amazing achievement. I also had huuuge breast...officially GG but I think it was more H and went down to somewhere between D and DD, however I was prepared for a smaller reduction. I was prepared that I might have to have 2ops to get a normal breast size and have discussed it with the surgeon who said he will aim for a D or an E in one go. He did it. However the notion was there it might have to be done in 2 stages. Please dont give up! Going to G is already amazing and will enable you to do things you couldnt do before...If I were you I would stick with G until doc agrees to do a 2nd reduction...
It's been a while...right now I'm 36 G which is smaller yes but still sizeable on my frame. I must admit that i am disappointed. After years, you have in your mind, your ideal but then it doesn't work out that way, it hurts. So I'm doing what I can to keep cool about everything. I'm thankful for life and for God bringing me through this journey. Next post op is 3 mths away. See you then.

I have struggled with disappointment in my size too. I think we get our mind set and our expectations set and it is hard when there are great, but not quite what we had in mind. Keep your chin up!
I'm doing fair...still swollen I believe. Umm definitely not a D cup or anything close to what I desired and dreamt of but the shape is nice and the decreased weight is a blessing. Holding on to hope and trusting that my dream will come true.

How are you doing, Tammika?

I think that right after surgery we are so shocked at the difference and they seem soooo small, but as we get use to them, we realize they aren't as small as we had initially thought. Give yourself some time to adjust to the new size and discuss with your doctor how you feel. I too am larger than I had hoped, but I'm so much smaller than I had been, and now that I've gotten use to the new me, I'm thrilled!
You decided on the fng. Hope that you are settled. Ty for the encouragement also. You have my support sis!
Omg your breast look amazing! I'm so happy for you! They look really good. Seeing this picture has really calmed my nerves some. Especially knowing that I may have to do a free nipple graft too. Makes me want to hurry up and get mine done!

We all will feel better and the tummy's will go!! Once we get the weight off our back and shoulders it will be easy for us to get moving and lose that surprise hiding under our giant boobs!! It will happen!!! So rest and recover and you look marvelous! !

Hi dear as you correctly said it is special and permanent and it is honestly best that you find someone that you are very comfortable with. This journey will test you emotionally, physically, spiritually and the list goes on ...with that in mind having a good team on board is a necessity especially your ps. To answer your questions I did have a free nipple graft due to the size and weight of my breasts...trusting for sensation. I'm comfortable with the decision but if you are not do explore your options... Don't settle until you have found out enough.

Medications...no I didn't have to take anything before, actually I was asked to avoid taking certain meds namely herbal tablets 2 weeks before the operation. As far as post op, I'm using mild painkillers ever so often, primarily before bed and then on a morning.

My major thing is swelling, I don't have drains so thus fluid is definitely there, next appt is Wednesday.

Hope everything works out for you. Please keep in contact and as fayfull said we will be here for each other.
aww thank you so much for replying back. I am trying to hard to get a second opinion. My plastic surgeon is trying to get me down to the smallest size, but I do not want that at all. Like you said, its special and permanent. I want to feel comfortable with my doctor. I had to go up do the doc office and threaten to cancel, but once I said that, they were all telling me not to cancel. Then they started to tell me about all the stuff they were going to do for me. But I still feel uneasy. I'm in the process of trying to find another doctor as we speak.I really wanted it done before August
My doc did that to me! I want a full D and i want the chances of feelings in my nipples! He never disscussed anything with me told me i was mentally not prepared and i needed to do research! Duh! This site has taught me more than that ps! I can not wait to meet the new guy!! I have come to terms that june and before august was not in my timing!! It will happen!!
