I am 30 years old and I have 36K breast....not only are they 36K but they are very thick. I decided to have this surgery because even after weight loss they were still huge and uncomfortable. I feel as if I am missing out on so much from:
Wearing pretty dresses and bras to being able to actively take part in sports.
My mom also has big breasts but of the three daughters, I was the only one who inherited this gene.
I am concerned that I will not be able to breastfeed my future children and I was waiting until I was married to have children. However that has not happened as yet and the pain, discomfort, fatigue and general awkwardness is taking it's toll on me.
It's time for change.
My surgery is scheduled for July 02 2012. I am awaiting confirmation from my insurance company and I am really hoping and praying that it is approved.
I'm not scared to have the procedure...been researching it for years...only fear is not waking up .
Will keep you posted as the days go by.
My only question is weight loss after surgery? What are the effects that have been experienced ?
So it's on ladies! I will make Payments next week...

Nervous .... Nope
Really looking forward to the change...definitely!!
I'm just praying for a good outcome and a restful period of healing and recuperation.
Is there anything I should ask the PS at this stage as well as the anesthetist.
I was having some difficulty finding a front closure sports bra but I made an order online and I'm really hoping that it arrives here with time to spare.
My family has also been very supportive and I dunno why but since my first preop I feel as of my breasts have tripled in size....it's like I got a startling revaluation of how big they really are lol.
Looking forward to sharing the rest of my journey with you.
You guys have been so helpful and have truly enlightened me on so much.
Thanks a lot!
One week to go...! Nervous not really, more...

Taking it easy at present not rushing a thing lol and it feels so peaceful to just chill out. This is only the beginning but I'm very grateful for the love and support.
Took my first bath this morning and clearly my tummy is too huge. Having some back pain still dunno if it is from the sleeping or if boobs still too heavy.
Will post pics soon.

I have struggled with disappointment in my size too. I think we get our mind set and our expectations set and it is hard when there are great, but not quite what we had in mind. Keep your chin up!
How are you doing, Tammika?
I think that right after surgery we are so shocked at the difference and they seem soooo small, but as we get use to them, we realize they aren't as small as we had initially thought. Give yourself some time to adjust to the new size and discuss with your doctor how you feel. I too am larger than I had hoped, but I'm so much smaller than I had been, and now that I've gotten use to the new me, I'm thrilled!
Mshill girl you will feel so much better and you will be able to get moving faster and much more!!! You will rock it!!
Medications...no I didn't have to take anything before, actually I was asked to avoid taking certain meds namely herbal tablets 2 weeks before the operation. As far as post op, I'm using mild painkillers ever so often, primarily before bed and then on a morning.
My major thing is swelling, I don't have drains so thus fluid is definitely there, next appt is Wednesday.
Hope everything works out for you. Please keep in contact and as fayfull said we will be here for each other.
