I'm Nervous and Excited at the Same Time - Bangkok, TH

Well it's 5 days until my surgery date. I'm nervous, excited, petrified and happy that I'm finally doing something for me.

5 years ago I was thin, happy and I thought healthy, then I was diagnosed with hashimotos and even though I lived the same healthy lifestyle the weight just kept piling on.
I completely rehauled my diet, I cut out gluten, dairy, grains, sugar and anything that was linked to inflammation and making my auto immune condition worse. While my health improved my weight did not budge. It's the one thing in my life that stresses me out and makes me hate what I see in the mirror. It's so distressing to do all the right things, give up so much and have absolutely no reward.

My surgery will be vaser liposuction with a possibility of bodytite. I will see when I consult with the surgeon. I'm having my arms, stomach, hips and inner thighs done and I honestly cannot wait. This is not a solution for me, merely the little bit of reward that I need for my efforts to date. I will still exercise as much as I do, still eat as healthy as I do and 100% commit to living a very clean lifestyle.

I'm sitting at Kuala Lumpur airport and I'm seriously wondering if there is any hope for improvement when I see my before photos. It's a very confronting thing to see those photos. I'm almost there now though so there is no turning back, I think once I'm in Bangkok and can see the hospital I'll feel better about what I'm about to do. The good news is that people in the cosmetic surgery industry know my doctor by name and say he is a renowned plastic surgeon and very sought after which definitely puts my mind somewhat at ease.

I guess the next time I'll be updating this it will have happened eeek wish me luck!

So it's the first day after surgery and I'm still in hospital. My surgery was meant to go for 2 hours but it took 6 I'm not sure why, no one has explained it. I'm in a lot of pain I won't lie, my arms and legs feel the worst even though they took the most from my stomach area.

They showed me the fat they remove and it looked like about 4 litres which is a lot! They asked me if I wanted photos, i passed.
My hands and fingers are really swollen and it's bothering me more than the pain in my arms and legs, that tight feeling is awful.
They have me hooked up to morphine and keep giving me pain meds which make me sleep and I'm OK with that. I'm excited to see myself, at the moment all I can see is bandages for days!
The staff here are very attentive and I'm being very well looked after, they keep trying to make me as comfortable as possible.
