Its just me here... I have finally made the decision to go through with BBL... After many years of TALKING about getting lipo on my abdomen (which is how the dream all started) I finally made the decision that I was either going to do it or let it go forever...seriously. Finally my homegirl was like.. You should get a BBL and get a faaaattt asss... I thought to myself.. Why the hell not?? So, after all of the research and your feedback, I have decided that I am indeed going through with the journey and that I am going with Dr. Salama at Elite PS in Miami. I havent even had the chance to talk to anyone on that end yet, but... I plan to have the date locked in no later than Friday 7/20

So my date is locked in at 1/8/2013... Which honestly is feeling like forever but I am not letting it take over my whole world. I am still handling my business per usual. Still trying to get the money together, but if my calculations are correct, I will have it paid in full by this September, which alotts me the remainder of the year to gather the money for the rest of my expenses in Miami. Any suggestions on things I should be doing now to prep?

Hey yall.. This me here. Just thought I would go ahead and give a lil update. So basically, like I mentioned had my bloodwork done yesterday. Still have not had EKG which I will be doing tuesday morning. I am a little nervous about not getting cleared for surgery because although I've never been diagnosed by a physician as being anemic, it has been said that in the past when I've had bloodwork done that Im a lil low on iron... BUT... Im taking plenty of iron everyday (per Dr. Salama's office) so. Lets just pray that when Salama gets my results monday or tuesday that I am good to go. Because November 1 is right around the corner and I would be a little crushed if I wasnt cleared to go... Sheesh.. Pray yall

Blood work came back normal . Yay.. All is well on that end. Doing my EKG on tuesday. I leave for Miami on 10/30

Hey ladies,

So the countdown is really on at this point. I feel like I have so, so, SOOO much to do between now and tomorrow. But prayerfully, after tomorrow, I can have a smooth transition right into my weekend and have all my loose ends tied.

This whats left to do:
-Retake urine sample (the last time I took it, I was just starting to get a UTI, but now that im finished with my antibiotics, it should be all cleared up!!)
-Medical Clearance letter from primary care physician (appt. today at 5pm)
-Pay for my hotel (Once my direct deposit goes through at midnight, I can wrap this up!!)

Please pray that all goes well so that I dont have any baggage to carry into the weekend. I dont want to worry about anything this weekend... Just want to be up in the store buying boppy pillows n shit. Not worrying about lab results!!

I leave for Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday... Keep your fingers crossed for me yall. Thankx

Its always something huh? Just as I had finished packing my bags lastnight I got an email saying that my flight had been canceled for tuesday night. Hurricane Sandy is making things real complicated around here!!! I panicked mostly because I just want things to be smooth during this time. And a flight canceled due to the most epic storm in history was not what I needed right now. I cleared my mind before I went to bed and trusted that whatever was meant to be, would be. I called Nomi at 9:01 this morning and told her what had happened and she worked on switching my date right away. She called me back and let me know she could move me to Monday since the first flight out of DC I could get wasnt until saturday morning. Well... My bags are all packed with straw hats and sandals... But I will be hurricane Sandied in for the next few days I presume...

Ladies, ladies,

Good evening to you. I am officially 4 days post-op today. I have come a long way from that first night. On Monday I met with Dr. Salama around 4 PM. He asked me what kind of butt I wanted and I told him to do his thing.. I wanted him to do whatever would work best for my body type. He advised me that all 4000 CC's were in my abdomen, flanks, and back, so I would not be able to get my arms done, which actually turned out to be a blessing because I use them for EVERYTHING... Especially since I can only lie on my stomach.

Basically, all the basic shit you read about the first few days is pretty much applicable.. But ladies... I gotta tell you... Nothing will really prepare you for what you are about to experience. Dr. Salama's office and staff are amazing so they do what they can to make this as easy as possible... But in terms of the level of pain you will feel.. Its really not a game. So just be ready is all I'm saying.

Today I go in for my first massage at 1 PM. I am mentally preparing myself for what I am about to feel. I know its not going to be easy breezy because my stomach hurts very, very bad when touched.. And there is a lot of fluid in it. Feels very raw. I gotta say, I have seen some beautiful stomachs on here at day 2 post-op... But um, yea, unfortunately that is not me. I am going to have to continue to do my lil walking and get a massage everyday that I am here until next Friday. Dr. Salama advised me to get the massages....

My two homegirls down here with me are leaving tomorrow morning... So im feeling a little emotionally vulnerable that I wont have them to come back to after my massage. Keep me in your prayers, ya'll..

Well,

I had my first massage with Celia today.. I took a percocet before going into the room with her. I gotta say... The massage really wasnt terrible. It felt good that all that fluid was coming out of my back, stomach, and flanks. They gave me a smaller garment today. Kinda tight, but okay. My next massages are monday, wednesday, and friday, the same morning I leave.

Well ladies,

Today marks one week since my surgery. I gotta say, this week went by very, very fast. It was a very eyeopening experience for me to say the least. I have made some amazing friends... I love, love, love you ladies... The love and support is SO REAL... I have been alone since Friday and Mrs. Incredible (they dont call her Real Friend for nothing!!!) and Miamilife305 have been my BEST BEST friends... Thank YOU. LOVE AND LIGHT IN YOUR DIRECTIONS...

OKAY LADIES, now that im actually not drugged up on Percocet and coherant enough to give a quality post, let me tell you some stuff. I got 1050 CC in each cheek. Dr. Salama also gave me hips. I didn't even know he GAVE hips, but I think he felt bad for me when I told him I was sad that I had no waist-to-hip ratio. Dr. Salama is that MAN, okay! I made an amazing decision choosing him and I am very proud I took my time to research the doctor that was best for ME. His team is sooooo fkn genuine. I mean... Celia the massage therapist, Jenasyia (sp), Nomi, even Jennifer at the fromt desk... They are sooo, so great.... I was supposed to be getting my arms lipo'd but as you know, 4000 cc is the legal limit they can remove, and I had ALL of my fat in my abdomen, flanks, back... Yes.. It was BAD. I am coming back in January to get my arms done, but seriously, thats it... After that... Never again... No more... I was joking around with a young lady in the office signing papers today. I told her "ONE TIME IS ENOUGH.., YOU'LL NEVER, EVER, WANT TO DO IT AGAIN".. I think I scared her. But really, ladies, once you get through the first week, and those hard nights, and those massages (God bless Celia), you can do ANYTHING. This is merely a test of your physical strength. Everything is mental... And if you walk into this KNOWING that you will get through it successfully, guess what... You will.

ALSO.. on DAY 7 you will get your back drain out... The best feeling in the world.

Tomorrow will be my 3rd massage with Celia. Then I have my fourth and final massage with her Friday at 9:30, and then straight to the airport I go. Its been so real Miami.... But I cant wait to get back to the comfort of my home. Smoke my tree and watch porn in the comfort of my own home. THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Seems like all the girls who were here with me have gone home... Guess its time to move on with life now.
