12 Days Po SALAMA :) Aventura, FL

I am 5 days post op and decided it´s time to write my own review. I have been stalking this site for a while now and reading your stories really helped me making my decision about this. A little about myself: I am 20 years old and live in Oslo, Norway. My before stats were 5`5 and 155 lbs (after gaining 10 lbs for this surgery). I have always been very unhappy with how I look; I´ve always had wide shoulders, narrow hips and no booty :(( not so lucky with those genes I guess. I have always been fit and taking care of myself but despite going to the gym and eating right I never really achieved the body i wanted.. So after years of being self-conscious about the way I look, I decided to have this surgery. After all, life is too short to spend time having low self esteem and not living it to the fullest:) I ended up going to the US for my surgery as EU doctors don´t seem to have much experience with the bbl procedure. When having a procedure that can change your looks in such a dramatic way, I think it´s crucial to go with an experienced surgeon with lots of good results, and that’s why I chose Salama;) He seems to always deliver (all of you Salama vets in here looking SO good).

So we flew down to Miami last Saturday and I had surgery on Monday. My mom and stepfather came with me (I am so thankful they´re supporting me!). The first 4 days we were staying at a small apartment in North Beach. The location was perfect; 5 mins to the beach, not too far away for them to go to South Beach and have fun, and still quite close to the surgical center and where my massages are.
When looking back at the days before my surgery, I cant believe how unprepared I was going into this. I finished my last exams a week before surgery, so I literally didnt have time to even think about preparations until then. Im also moving together with a couple of friends next year, so I spent the remaining week before sx running around in Oslo looking at apartments. When I left Norway the only thing I had managed to get hold on was a couple of maxi dresses and tank tops! Luckily I was able to do some last chance shopping in Miami the day before my surgery.

The day of surgery, Justin picked me up at 8:15 and drove me to the medical center where I had my pre op. Justin is such a nice guy, always smiling and very helpful. Before my surgery, I met the anaesthesiologist and Dr. Salama himself. He marked me up, and I told him to do whatever he wanted, except for giving me a huuge booty (although I love curves I just want a more proportional body with a natural looking bigger butt and fuller hips). He told me he would not take too much fat from my abdomen but mostly from my flanks, which I was perfectly fine with. Shortly after I went into the op room and got my IV. I was out at once and in the next second I woke up lying face down in the resting room. I was not in pain whatsoever, just a little stiff and felt like I needed to pee.

The following days were not too bad at all. Not much pain, just stiffness. I had to get up literally every hour during the night to pee the first nights (very annoying). I was able to do most things like making dinner and cleaning my incisions myself already the day after surgery. That day I also had my first shower and my mum washed my bloody garment (felt sooo good!).

DAY 2: Had my first massage with Eileen. I was prepared for the worst and had a painkiller before I left. Idk if it was the painkiller or not, but I didn`t find the massage that painful (so please don’t worry too much about this). Eileen is SUCH a sweet lady and very gentle with her hands, although she has to put some pressure on the sore skin to push the fluids out. This part was a little painful but it felt so good to get rid of some fluid. After the massage I got a tighter size L garment.

DAY 4: okay this was an interesting day. So since my mom and stepfather came with me all the way from Europe we decided to spend our last week here in the US in the Keys. They really wanted to go to Key West and I felt like I owned them this after bringing them with me to another continent. Well let me tell you I would never recommend anyone going on a 5 hour car ride 4 days after surgery! It was terrible and my mum`s bad driving skills made it even worse, haha! She´s not used to driving an automatic car so I bounced around in the back seats every time she hit the “clutch”… At least I was able to lay faced down in the back seats without putting pressure on my hips or butt. We also stopped at an outlet store on the way down, and even though I felt like a zombie walking around there it was totally worth it. They had 50$ Nike shoes (which would be at least 200$ in my country) and I also found a garment store where I got a medium butt-in garment from Lipo Express. I currently have the L butt-out garment, however think I will try change to the butt in tomorrow. I´ve also found a couple of local massage therapists who do lymphatic drainage here in Key West, so I´ll try to get at least two massages while I am down here:)

I am back in Norway after the worst 10 hr flight ever. Actually, it was more than 10 hours. We had to stop in Copenhagen and switch plane so we also spent around 4 hours at the CPH airport. I was SO lucky to at least find 3 empty seats on the first plane, and was able to lie down on my belly during the flight.

Before I got on the plane I stopped by the office to have my second massage and remove my drains. We drove all the way from Key West and because of alot of traffic in Miami I was late by almost 30 mins! I was so stressed out and didnt expect Celia to have time to do my massage at all. However, they had been waiting for me and even though I was late they took their time to remove my drains and give me the last post op instructions:) Dr. Salama´s staff are the best, these people really care about their patients!

As for my booty I am still very happy with the results. It has gone down slightly and one part of me wishes I had gone just a lil bigger.. On the other hand, Scandinavian girls normally don´t have huge butts so I guess it looks more natural this way. I am very happy with my overall shape its a HUGE improvement from my before looks:)
