Brazilian Butt Lift: Stories

Aye Ladies,
Im a 25 y/o mother of 1. I have been researching the BBL for months. I tried working out the gluteus maximus(booty muscle) like crazy only to see that it works but my stomach is blah looking. Here is my time for change and to be happy about my body in and out of clothes. I am using illusion clothing to look good and it works but out of the clothes I stand infront of the mirror and am not happy. Dr. Salama's office was very helpful and nice, my original quote was $6499, quoted in april, but that price is out the window so ladies if you havent put down your deposit at that quote you lost out. My new quote as of today is $6799. Not that bad of an increase but hey im locked in at that price. I am scheduled for December 3, 2012. yay me. Time to prepare for my journey. The soonest they have is November 2 ladies so jump on it if you want it that early. Dr. Salama informed me that I should gain about 10-15 more pounds. I would post before pictures but im hoestly not happy with my body so like the day before the surgery I will post the pictures. I dont want a BIGG ass just looking round, and a little out more. I have a little booty right now but the fact that my stomach is out there too, ugh. He informed me that he will be working on my abs, flanks and my upper and lower back. Im cool with that. Any and all ideas on this I am listening to. I am super excited to start.

My husband has no idea of the bbl, he only thinks that Im going to get smart lipo on my tummy, which he is ok with and supports, even though he says to me he likes my belly cuase it gives him something to grab onto. lol. Besides him no one knows because I dont care to know what any one else has to think about this procedure. I see the way all you ladies stick together on here, like you ggirls are family and I am glad to know I got support for you guys.
Oh yeah ladies forgot to include. When i spoke to nancy this morning she said its a good thing i made my deposit today because prices will be going up. So even if you can only afford the deposit, get that in there asap, this way you can keep the quote they give you and they will honor that, hopefully.

Ok, so besides being obsessed with getting my new booty, and being on this site everyday does not make it any better. Im starting a list of must haves and a list of what to do and what not to do after surgery. I stood on my scale this morning and I weigh 150, im going to not start trying to gain weight until the month of november. I wanted to move it up but keeping it in december is more convenient with all that I have revolving around me. So just hoping these next few months rush along. Next summer will be ours new BBL sisters. Once I figure how to cover up my tattoo I will post my before pics beucase I want to know what you ladies think about my outcome.
Who else is booked for december? (first week) Traveling alone so I will be using a nurse, but I will be trying to be independent as much as I can.
Also does anyone know what the policy is with belly rings? Do they have to be out? If so when can they be put back in?

Ok so I decided to post my pics, cant post the one of my back because I have a tat that I dont know how to cover. So yeah my hubby called me today, from across seas... :'(, But yeah I spoke to the hubby and decided to tell him about the procedure, hes over excited...lol... he kept saying I cant wait to see the outcome.. He will be home when I get it done, he'll be tending to my little one, Im nervous becuase this will be his first time since birth hes being alone with her. He also wants to help me with the weight gain for the month before. I though regular protein was good, he says that I need weight gainer protein (hes a workout type of dude, muscles everywhere...lol). Now I want to push up the procedure Im soo excited.

Ok, so I moved my surgery up, yay, November is booking up fast as lightening. IF ANYONE HAS OCTOBER CANCELLATIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW, besides being on here I will be calling the office. Here are some answers to some questions I thought might be helpful to the other ladies out there. These answers are from Dr.Salama office, I spoke with Nancy.
1.After surgery its best to wait one month before having sexual intercourse... (hubby told me to ask this one...lol)
2.If you have belly rings or tongue rings (all piercings) please remove, if not plastic jewelry is ok.
3.People that wear contacts, whether prescription or just because NO contacts the day of surgery because they inject an ointment on your eyes (so if you wear glasses bring em)
4.The type of anethesia is through injection
5.The boppy pillow and the compression socks are give to you, but its ok to buy some compression sock from walmart(as per a BBL sista) they run for under $10 for two pair

Ok I am officially obsesssed with getting this procedure done, I AM LOOKING TO MOVE MY DATE UP FROM NOVEMBER TO OCTOBER, SO LADIES IF ANY CANCELLATIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Ugh- I want to get this procedure done so badly now. lol... Im possibly thinking of moving it to the beginning of August... I called the office this morning and they are completely busy. I hope this does not overwhelm Dr.Salama. It look like it may, three surgeries a day, five days a week... damn... but yeah before he go crazy from being overworked I would like to get my booty...

Ok, so I updated my pictures, this is what I resent to Nancy after she told me to gain weight. I want to weigh 160 for the procedure. I am also still trying to move my date up, really hoping for something in September because this will be the best bday gift to myself. But if I cant its cool patience is key to happiness, or something like that, lol im trying to have patience is all, because the outcome will be grand... and wither way Ima have to wait until next summer to wear my new bikini's anyways...

You know what the crazy thing is, if I gain weight it starts at my stomach then it goes everywhere else. Just like when I lose weight, but then after weight is lost there is still a pouch.
Well I spoke to my pcp and she said that I wont have to pay for bloodwork and EKG, it can be covered under my insurance.
Also for the tattooed up chicks, I only got four but going back for more, they say there is no wait time to get a new tattoo, I would wait until I stop wearing my garment, this way the tattoo can heal properly. Well latas

Hey ladies,
Just want to inform yall on some info for the surgery..
First off - People who are traveling alone and will be using a nurse- Dr.Salama office deals with Best Care, I spoke with Jackie, and she says when calliing inform them that your DrSalama pt and what your getting done(BBL)... usually girls need help for the first 48 hrs after surgery, which costs $350. Also to call them a week before surgery to get everything handled (papers).
Also with the vitamins- I asked Nancy today and she said to take Vitamin C, 1000 mg, and Iron, 325 mg.
Ladies who will be using transportation provided from the office, please get all shopping out the way before surgery so that you wont need anything later, there are only two drivers and many of us girls...
Dr.Salama gives out arnica pills so you can save about $30 there
Ladies after surgery shower with cool water, not hot, cool water increases blood circulation and skin elasticity, helping it take that new form. Wash with a loofah to help remove the surface layer of dead skin on your bodies... our bodies will be going through alot of making over help it out as much as possible.
I also want to suggest mederma for tretch marks... there is a $4 coupon on the site.
When going into surgery wear a sundress, its easy for the people on the office to put on you, remember you will be half sleep so dead weight, and them trying to put pants/sweats on you... yeah... bring with you your hotel key and some socks cause it will be cold in the operating room. Dont bring no valuables with you... if you have to leave your phone in the hotel room, rather it there then missing... i read on here a girl got her phone taken when she was in surgery... thats not cool.

I need to switch because the hubbys' job wont let him have off in August so we have to wait until October... :( And I have everything needed for surgery, so sad but at least it will happen this year... Ok So, after having my suitcase packed damn near and nearing the time for my clearance check had to reschedule, and putting on some weight (now @ 158lbs) I am fortunate enough to change to october 5, and this time I will NOT be changing, regardless of anything. I got plan A, B and C, for a sitter, lol so nothing is holding me back this time... The hubby is also getting tired of hearing me talk about me n my new booty,he wants to see it...lol, men!... And i am happy october will be here before I realize it... yay
Time to educate if I can- So we have to take 325 mg of Iron per day, instead of getting the iron pills that have 65 mg of iron where you have to take 5 per day, go to amazon.com and order the poly-iron pills they give you 100 pills that are 100 mg each pill... so less pills per day(if you havent noticed Im not a pill taker...lol) So go to Amazon and look for poly-iron pills, I contacted Nancy at Dr.Salama office and she said that its ok to take these...

So yeah I forgot to include, since I want about 1000 cc each cheek + hips, Nancy tole me to try to be at a weight of 162, ugh im already so fat... :( But for the best results I will be putting on them extra pounds. hey ladies, its been a while since ive updated so lemmie see what I got. I got 10 weeks and 4 days to go for my big day with the man, Dr.Salama. Im hyped like hell, and so is the hubby. Nervous, no, excited, yes... dont know when the nervousness will kick in but I know that after the bloodwork comes back and I buy the tickets I will start to feel like its more real.
Im kinda worried about my skin sagging, but from what I have seen and read its suppose to get back right, n tight. I also have stretch marks on my belly, I dont know if I wanna wait until after the surgery to use the mederma stretch mark cream or should i start now. Lotions work best on skin that is being massaged so i might wait, not going to be wearing a belly shirt until next summer anyways so i got time to get rid of the stretch marks... Oh but in the mean time Im using my rose hip oil on my stomach after I get out the shower, im thinking if I should use my derma roller as well, thats suppose to help with stretch marks.
My weight is fluctuating between 158 - 162, but its cool i got time for that to stick. Im also starting to take care of my skin now so that it will be easier to manage after the surgery, better to start now than wait until after surgery. Ladies after showering, massage lotion on to your tummies so that you can increase the blood circulation and decrease the chance for saggy skin. This will tighten the skin, dont do this to your booty, you need loose skin on your booty to make sure that you can get enough cc's. Im researching now about healthy elastic skin on the booty, so it can stretch out to its new bigness.
Also I do my zumba two times a week because I want to make sure that I have energy before and after the surgery. Any kind of working out is good for your body, this way you wont feel completely weak after the surgery.

I be booty shopping(on the net looking for good pics- for what i may want), the hubby seen me and was like (wth)...lol I told him to look at some booty pics with me to tell me what he likes. I showed him what 1200 cc looks like and hes like oh yeah thats it...lol. I wanted 1100 any ways so hey just have to put on some extra weight for the bigger booty. Also the hubby suprised me and gave me the money for my trip,hotel, flight n rental, with him included. So him and the little one will be coming along. I read that traveling alone is hard because you get lonely. Im kinda glad that he's coming along with me. So I had to call Nancy and tell her that I wont need transportation, cause were gonna get a rental, thinking to get a minivan. And I wont need a nurse, hopefully because Im not sure how hubby will act around the blood.lol. Well I got the info on the flights, hotel, and the rental set but Im not paying for that until I get my clearance check and Im good to go. Other than that I am all ready to go. Im going to get a brazilian wax a few days before I go.
Do I need pillows for the car? Gonna get a towel definately.
I want to gain weight for the procedure but I dont want to gain too much weight and he cant take it all out, but I want to have enought for my 1100-1200 cc. What to do about this?
Will I need to plastic/ or extra towels to put on the bed at the hotel? or is the peepee pads ok?
Is anyone out there 5'5 that is having the surgery or had the surgery? Just trying to compare body frame and possible results.

Educate you if I can...I keep reading that the skin is itchy after surgery and because the area is going to be very itchy and dry thanks to the healing process and the tightly bound garment, you should use petroleum jelly to soothe the area and to prevent itching. You do not want to scratch the area because this can damage the skin and cause an infection.
Obsessed with this procedure and planning everything out one step at a time... so close to being finished planning... still have to get additional garments and epifoam.

I know I havent updated in a while, been extra busy with work and school. Im starting to have nightmares about the surgery, and the hubby is not with it as much as before thinking that I might come out with a booty that is too big. Im taking my vitamins and got my EKG (looking good there), waiting on bloodwork and urine results. The only thing they told me the day I did my urine was I wasnt pregnant, so yay. I just ordered my bromelain(mad late), hope its here a week before surgery so I can start taking it, this blog is kinda long so ima have to start a new one for my pics and after surgery so ima do that like a week before surgery(my next update). FLight booked, hotel(staying at the best western- as per reviews)

I freaking lost 10 lbs but lost nothing from my stomach it was all spread out. I just took the above picture this week. But my measurements still the same.
So I did an exercise and tried to see how long I could go in one day without sitting, that lasted three hours then I was like I need to sit...lol
I'm 9 days away and I'm cool about it, I was nervous but I have had so much going on haven't had time to process it. It's the weekend (got less on my mind) it might hit me n again next weekend when I leave. My excitement is like a roller coaster. I'm more excited on the weekends..

Thanks to all the vets that help share their info, n I really mean big big thank u, I'm not going into this blind sided.

I'm going to attempt a review standing up. I can't lay down n yep cause I get sleepy. Lol. But I got here on Sunday, me with Ruben n signed papers. Monday morning I was at the office bright n early(the first one there). It was cool tho, Dr. Salama came there n said hi n gave me my blue panties n n hat n robe. Then came the questions, what do you want? I told him natural n make them even, lol. I got my needle, the nurse said whose coming to get u, Alex said its too late she can't answer...lol I heard that n was out. So I woke up on my belly they told me my husband was there so I got wheeled out n went to the hotel. Later that night I started bleeding like crazy, I went to see Dr.S n he said my stitches came loose. So he had to redo them. I was covered in blood but Dr.S n his staff were there for me n took care of me.

One of my booty cheeks is smaller than the other, so I got 1200 in one n 1260 in the other.

Will I go through this again, no. I'm going to buy a waist clincher from the office on Friday to wear while washing the garment. My ass is heavy n hard. I have been walking n dancing, trying to be happy n take my Percocet, n arnica, n iron pills. I been walking a lot, my left eye is a bit swollen n my left foot, but I b ok. I am 2 days post op n smiling when walking past a mirror n looking at this all the ass. I stay looking at pictures that I take my waist is so tiny but I got foams so y'all can't really c it. I never had a tiny waist, until now. Damn legs getting tired, ima post later on. I took a Swiss Kris's last night n I feel like I have to go number two, but... I feel like I don't.

I can walk normal kinda, I tried on a pair of panties they look crazy on me, even tho I couldn't pull them past the top of my ass. Lol I'm happy. Got a lil coke bottle shape everything looks proportional. The drains are the most annoying, other than that I'm good, first massage tomm.

Now I have pain, it's sharp n near my vagina. Thank goodness it's time for my pain pill. Percocet help me now. Did a hour of walking, no dancing this time pain is not agreeing. Well let me rest up for this massage.
First post op visit they took my garment off n help me put on my shirt. Pain pill needed for that.

Ok so I disappeared for a few days. Lol I'm still here, just going through the aftermath of the surgery. Yes I'm on the emotional roller coaster.
I showered today, yay. Feel so fresh, I washed myself, hubby rinsed me. Speaking of my hubby.
Special thanks to my hubby- he is my backbone doing everything I ask. Even standing behind me holding my drains while I try to go number 2. I let out two big farts, omg that was the first time that ever happened. Lol I owe him big after this.
But back to business, I slept for seven hours last night once I got comfy, nice. I woke up n was like I'm hungry, then tried to get up n was reminded of just having surgery days ago. Lol. Sharp pains in my ass as I got up. But they quickly faded. My walking is good, sleeping is good, drains need to come out, garment(a story in itself) but until u cross over I will just say ahh it's a garment it ain't no pj's.

Listen ladies these pics within three weeks are all nice then the swelling go away. I'm still swollen. So I'm trying not to be too happy bout my shape. Oh n my monthly friend is here.

Forgot to update bout two things. One - my massage felt great n after it I felt amazing. Can't wait for the next one. Was thinking to take one perc but they taking my back drain out tomm, so two it is. Now my second thing - I really want to thank all the bbl sisters for taking time to send prayers, and text, n check on me. I have beve close with many ladies through this journey and they have been really great, thank you ladies. Especially my bblbff, I love you girl.

My sweeping has gone down a lot. I'm 18 days post op and my booty is getting softer by the day. My stomach n back are both hard. My booty has went down because as the swelling went down so did my inches. I am of the few hopeful waiting for the fluff.

My measurements are 35- 32- 42, I'm hoping to fluff up to 44 inches n at least shrink my waist down to 29. Waist is still very swollen.

Oh when in Miami don't stay at the knights inn, it's the marbay hotel with a different name. While it is literally across the street from the surgery center(I walked to surgery, that's how close it was)
I also had a SUV rental, had three rows, I laid the last row down and one seat from the second row and laid in the back my entire time there.

As far as overall I'm about to hit my three week mark so I'm unsure. I want to post pics but I swollen so u won't really c anything. Otherwise my stomach is flat. ;)

I have not forgotten about the office they are all great there. The great Ruben, still texts me.

Ladies this surgery is serious and expensive n all. I thought I did my research, f the damn research. I thought sleeping on my stomach was going to b easy since I'm a stomach sleeper, it get annoying after a while. I stood for hours cooking yesterday n wanted to sit, thank goodness for my directors chair.

Ladies stretch everyday before surgery to prepare your bodies n everyday after try to stretch as it will be hard. This surgery is what u make it. I will def b back here to answer questions n so fourth if any. I will love to help. As far as my booty birthday sisters, scar girl n readysetgo, I text them everyday they are doing great as well.

I thought sleeping on my stomach was going to b easy since I'm a stomach sleeper, it get annoying after a while. I stood for hours cooking yesterday n wanted to sit, thank goodness for my directors chair.

Ladies stretch everyday before surgery to prepare your bodies n everyday after try to stretch as it will be hard. This surgery is what u make it. Hey my bbl sisters. It has been almost three months since I got my surgery. I am still healing, still feel sharp pains. I love my e-curve the most. I know I have abandoned you all, and I apologize for that. My booty is very soft and is 41.5 inches... bummer, but its small and cute. To me the right is bigger than the left. The other day my waist was at 29.5, I purchased a new compression vest, i love it, wich i had it sooner. Its from classic shapewear.com. Its called the rubber and cotton miracle vest, my bbl sister put me on to it, mine is a small and while i cant breathe I love the compression. My booty look crazy in leggings, like hello how you doing..lol. While I havenet had a board for a while (tried contacting the office since december and it took them until this past week to send it to me). Any who they're hella busy and could use a bit more help IMO with follow up. Now for the crazy part, I am thinking of going in for a round two, I need bigger. I still have my usual size its just fuller. I have been walking and have been to the gym a few times and yes I get stares in my yoga outfits... I love the attention but its not big enough. Any and all questions ladies I can answer, the booty looks nice I will put up some pics soon. Overall my before pic and my after pic, big difference. I will make sure to update my alerts, I miss you ladies. As far as round two, my bbl sis, got hers same day as me, are planning to do it again on the same day. Ladies time for a lil education if I can, GO BIG. I regret telling salama not crazy big, I should have said go crazy big. Absorption sucks... but like i said overall its good.

Oh yeah forgot to add, from the side it looks ok(meaning no projection), but from the back it looks like damn so two thumbs up cause my view from the back is amazing.

Oh and my stomach is not up to par, I have a bit of saggy skin in which im looking to get treated, however, my waist is at 29 inches on most days...lol I still wear my compression vest. My scars are still there kinda but a scar is a scar. I wish I would have went bigger, but hey theres always a round two that could happen in the future. Here is a before and after shot. Oh and the projection from the side is not as good as from the direction in the picture i showed. However overall Im happy with the difference. Ladies do your research!!!!!! Garments play big roles.

Trying on clothes never felt better. I love putting things on only to see my ass is the perfect bubble booty.
