I went for my consultation in May of 2013 after saying I want a tummy tuck for the past 10 years. I will be getting a full TT and 800cc removed from each flank by Dr. Holzman. My plan was to take my income tax this year and do something for myself! I give up my time to my children and husband of two years because that's my job. I chose my life and have always put my family first. Our children are extremely athletically talented, and not only has time gone into them so they can be successful, but also financial.
My husband has known my plan all of these months, but at this time I have been called selfish, inconsiderate and spending money on nonsense. The worst part is he said a week before I scheduled not to worry I would have all the money needed seeing as I asked him to pay up to $1500. Thanks to my mom who is the best, is willing to help me in the end. My husband is a truck driver, out of state and is home every 2-3 weeks for a few days at a time. I love my husband, but I will say there is a pattern and there are red flags. When I hit the gym, I hit it hard and focus, he can't stand it. Negative remarks when noticeable body changes occur, wants to eat out at favorite restaurants, It's a shame, but I believe the word is SABOTAGE! Thank goodness for great friends and family and my 17year old daughter Jasmine who will be my caregiver over Spring Break.
I know this journey is going to be long, hard and full of emotions. I know of three people who have had a full TT 2 whom have gone to Dr. Holzman as we'll. I feel sexy, I don't find myself ugly, but I am still not comfortable in my own skin.
I have read so many posts and watched many TT videos, the lipo discuss me more than the TT when watching it, ugh, but goodbye flanks or a large part of them!
Y'all have been awesome with information. I go for my final consult next Monday Feb 24th. I have paid for my procedure $5000, anesthesiologist $1280 for 4.5 hours and $1500 for my surgery room the day of surgery. I have bought a few things so far for after the procedure and my wonderful friend and her boyfriend bought a recliner and dropped it off yesterday, love them!
I haven't been to the gym in FIVE days, I'm mad at myself! I found out on Friday that a lot of us at UT will be let go do to the medical insurance law, today it was confirmed last day of May is my ending there. Taking it harder than I thought, I love my job, but EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! I will take it out on the stair stepper tomorrow.
I look forward to sharing my journey with y'all, thanks for sharing yours!

Two weeks tomorrow until my time!

I'm feeling much better today, I finally broke down and called my husband who is still on the road. Not talking to him for 9 days was not easy at all, but I'm not backing down. The conversation was fine, just great to talk with him and nothing about surgery or me spending a large amount of money (on myself). Still haven't been back to the gym, but after 11 hours of sleep last night, my mind is clear once again. Time to focus again and keep focused.

Count Down is Starting!

Received my 2 week call today from the Hospital for all of my Medical question and Do and don't list. It's feeling more and more real. Tomorrow is a big day for my 15 year old daughter who is a Freshman at Pflugerville, she made the Varsity Track Team so the Weekend will fly by and bring me to my last consult at Dr Holzman's Office Monday afternoon. My 17 year old who is a Varsity Lady Panther Dance member also has a competition tomorrow, of course both out of town): Geeeee, I love my kids and the passions they have and goals they keep making and achieving. This TT is now my goal and in the end once my scars are healed, I can stand up straight and my pouch is gone I will clap for myself. I will give myself a standing ovation once the rest of my body is in better shape to match the New Tummy.

So far so good! When I arrived to the office it was pleasant. Went in the room, stripped down into a robe. My thought was TT and breast lift, he cupped my boobs said um, no you don't need one! I said Thank You for being honest and not just trying to get payed. This TEAm gets A+ and 5 STARS across the board, I seriously say I am happy where my money went. Dr Holzman in an awesome Plastic Surgeon! From my consult, pre op, surgery day and 1 post op this has been a great experience. The office is open Mon-Fri and I have always been able to speak the staff. They called me the day after my diarrhea episode making sure I was OK. If your near or in Austin a consult with Dr Holzman is a must!
