46 YO Atlanta, GA - Tummy Tuck on Thursday, Today is Saturday

I've felt really good in the last several days, but I get tired really often. Been trying to just rest, but tomorrow I go back to work. I'm swelling pretty badly in the afternoons, so I expect it wil continue for some time. Or atleast that is what I have read....

5 days post op and I feel really good. I was able to lay in the bed and get help turning over and laying on my side with lots o pillows! I did not sleep well least night so io went a noon to see if I could do it myself and I was able to. The milestone for the day.... Laying in got bed WITH my hubby and not having to sit up to sleep in the recliner. That is the daily accomplishment.

I did get fully dressed today for the first time since operation. I wanted to see how my clothes fit. I'm nosy, I admit it. So everything went on OVER my binder which means I'm excited to know I have to get new clothes. I also got on the scale.... Lost 3 lbs a and still swollen. Speaking of swollen, my bra fit very tight around my body, so that did not stay on long! It was clearly an inch or two tighter. Excited to see this swelling go down.

Then I felt as if I just might need to go #2 which also hasn't happened since day of surgery..... Wallah... Another accomplishment (and relief I must say).

The bad news if this is really bad news..I have been coughing today. OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I can certainly live without that forever!!!

Have lots to report today... 1 day post surgery was the WORST day, since then, it has been much better every day. Today I am 4 days post op and am getting back lots of tingly feelings in my back and tummy. I learned yesterday, when you don't drink a lot... You swell a lot!!! Drink more than you eat is my new motto. Climbed stairs today ( I live in a split foyer and needed something downstairs) without any issues. I am thinking of switching to regular Tylenol a d off pain meds... I will let you know how that goes. Post op appointment is in 2 days. I want to hear good job from my doctor!

Feeling really itchy Ll over which means I am getting sensation back in my skin. The edges of the incision too, means I am healing! I learned today that I probably won't sleep in the bed next to my sweet hubby for a month or so...my body just can't get comfortable. I'm ok with that, it's only a month! He gets to sleep w a new woman when I do get back in that bed.

I am really looking at getting back on my clean eating plan and getting the rest of this extra off. I will look forward to the 6 week time when I came released to do all activities and get the rest of my body back. It shouldn't take long, the tummy was the stubborn part - its done now! Will post ore after my post op with pics!
