I'm a proud mom of 3 amazing boys, the oldest of whom is an active duty combat medic for the US Army. I went from a 34C to a 40DDD/E over the last 19+ years. Despite weight loss attempts, my breast cup size has never changed or been affected. I have suffered for many years with severe neck and back pain and I am finally getting the breast reduction I so desperately need. My surgery is scheduled for March 23 and although I'm a bit nervous, I am so excited to take this step and *hopefully* get relief from this debilitating pain.

One day post op

Had my surgery yesterday and despite the obvious post op pain and swelling, I am loving being a new member of the itty bitty [RS bleep] committee!! My surgeon said he removed >500 grams from each, had very minimal blood loss and left a drain on each side which I had removed this morning and was discharged home!! My family says I look 10 years younger and my hubby says it's the first time he's ever seen me standing up straight, not hunching my shoulders. It's absolutely amazing to look down and see past my chest. Although now I see how much my belly sticks out lol! Next steps: lose about 20 more pounds and go back for a tummy tuck! I can shower tomorrow so I'll measure and post pics but here are my "before" pics all marked up.

First post op pics!

Took a shower and it felt great!! Lots of bruising around nipple and the vertical incision but not the incision under my boobs, just swelling. Some swelling on the sides under my armpits too but not terribly bad. The incisions are still mostly numb so the pain is from the inside but even that is tolerable, taking Percocet every 4-6 hrs. As soon as I feel like I can get by with plain Tylenol, I'm gonna start weaning the Percocet. I've been on it for many years and my goal is to be completely weaned by June 1st. I'm determined to never have to be dependent on narcotics ever again!
