My best friend lives in MI & we both decided to get nose jobs. At my consultation with Dr. Maholtra, I CLEARLY explained I wanted a dramatic change. I am African-American & wanted a thinner bridge & pointy tip. Of course he yessed me to death, I paid & had the surgery done. After looking at the same nose post surgery, I called & voiced my concerns. The staff told me it would take up to a year to notice a change. A year came & I was still stuck with the same nose! So I went to a surgeon in Beverly Hills & had a revision, which is what I should've done initially! The best surgeons practice in Beverly Hills for a reason! Don't get me wrong, Maholtra is nice, but I'd rather a rude surgeon that got the job done!

This is what I look like now. I will say that I had a minor bump in my nose that was smoothed out by this doctor, but the overall finished product was not what I wanted or what was discussed.

I don't like that my tip isn't as pointy as I wanted, nor is my bridge as narrow as I was told it would be. Apparently, with rhinoplasty, it usually will take a couple of times to get the results you want.

Sure. Dr. Gal Aharonov. My nose doesn't look as drastically different as I want, so he'll probably be doing it again. I want a thinner bridge & pointier tip, as I've expressed repeatedly!!!

I'm not in Cali but I'm definitely willing to travel for a surgi-cation. Your nose is exactly what I want. I wonder if your Doctor can achieve those results on a first time rhinoplasty

Thanks! I just don't feel like there's a dramatic difference ESPECIALLY for the price! The revision was almost $10k & my first rhinoplasty was $4,500...so I'm walking around w/a $15k nose & it's STILL not the way I want it ugh! I'm going to try once more this year, Dr. Aharonov keeps injecting my nose w/steroids to make the skin thinner because African-American skin is so thick & that makes a little bit of a difference.

I think you're gorgeous! But I get it. You had something in mind, were assured you'd get what you were asking for, paid, and didn't get what you wanted. That's frustrating. Still, as someone who doesn't know you, I think you look amazing and have a perfect nose.
