I have always been pretty well endowed compared to...

I have always been pretty well endowed compared to other girls my age. Currently I believe I am about a 34 or 36 G/H. After I had my daughter (my 2nd child), I gained more weight and my boobs never really seemed to get any smaller after I gave birth to either of my children. They seem to just gradually be getting bigger. I have my first consult with a PS on Monday March 30. I am really hoping my insurance will cover most of the surgery and my out of pocket won't be too much. I want this reduction mainly so I can feel better about myself. I think my self esteem has greatly suffered because of my figure. I am trying to get in better shape and it is not easy to exercise! I wear two sports bras and still don't get the support I need. I often have pain and tension in my neck and shoulders and in my mid back when I have to stand for a prolonged time. I just want to feel better physically and mentally!

INSURANCE APPROVED! SURGERY SCHEDULED!

So I got the news that my insurance approved my surgery a few weeks ago (while I was on a weekend getaway with friends!) So that made the weekend even that much better : ) I was hoping to have the surgery in May or June, before it got too terribly hot. But my doctor's soonest available was July. So I am all scheduled for July 16! I'm a little bummed that I won't be able to swim most of my summer, but it's a small price to pay for the end result. I'm very excited, and a little nervous. I've never had surgery before and I'm sure I will be a hot nervous mess when the time comes. I have a lot of support from family and friends so that will make it easier.

Surgery one week from tomorrow!

Haven't updated in quite a while. My surgery got postponed a few days because I had to see a hematologist. I have a blood clotting disorder so they recommend I take lovenox shots for two weeks after my surgery since I'm at higher risk for blood clots. So my new surgery date is 7/20. I'm getting a little nervous and am sure I will get very nervous as it gets closer and closer. It is reassuring reading everyone else's experiences. I'm a little nervous about the "extra" skin on the sides of my breasts. Not sure if that makes sense. My breasts have a lot of fat on the sides and the ps can only go so far over. So he said there may be some excess skin on the sides. I'm just hoping it doesn't look weird or bother me. I will try to update again before my surgery.
