WORTH IT$4,000
Just got my cast taken off. It hurt a little bit, but nothing too ridiculous. My nose is super swollen and I have the Avatar thing going on, but I think I'm really going to like the shape once the swelling settles down. Can't stop smiling!

The Dr was very professional and answered all of my questions. Time spent with me in the follow up appointment could have been better- a nurse removed my cast and he only popped in briefly. His personal assistant was also extremely helpful. Very happy with the choice I made to go to this surgeon!

Hi! Looking to have a nose job in Adelaide and need some assistance choosing a doctor! Can you please help :(
Hey, inbox me with any questions you have, I'm more than happy to help out :)
Hi Natty, i would recommend Dr Trott. I had a rhinoplasty in 2007 by dr katzaros and was really dissapointed. I then went to see Dr Trott. He is in Flinders Street in Adelaide. I wish i had gone to him as he is lovely, skilled and very professional. Definetely check him out.
Hi Zhara. I am have my first consult in Feb with Dr Mark Moore as he was recommened but I definately want to check a few Dr's out before getting it done. I was told to go to Katzaros...why were you dissapointed? Did any Dr's you saw have a digitally generated image of what you would look like after surgery. I am really fussy and dont want my nose to point upwards after..if you know what I mean haha and thats my fear! Thanks in advance!
Hey was the rhino only $4,000? Also how much was the consult? =)
Hi nnnose773 please let me know how you go with your consult, as im thinking of having it done but at the end of the year. Heard good things about Dr Moore, its scary trying to make a choice thought cause i dont want to go in for two surgerys. I know Katzaros and David David are suppose to be top surgeons but then well i guess with any doc someone is always unhappy aww frustrating trying to make a decision. Wishing you all the very best and please everyone let us know how you go. Cheers thank you.
I would go to Dr Trott. I went to see Dr Moore and he said he would speak to Dr Trott before he did anything. This suggests that he has more experience.
Dont think doctors do digital images in adelaide. I would go to Dr Trott if i had my time over. He is in Flinders Street. He has the skill and the bedside manner. Dr Katsaros is great if you like your end result but if you don't he will deny everything. Definetely give Dr Trott a go. I went to see Dr Moore and it seems he gets advice from dr trott. This suggests that Dr Trott has more experience. i dont think you will be dissapointed with him.
aw wow lol, well its best that way then i wouldnt like someone who didnt want to do my nose . All the best with everything and please keep me updated. Good luck with Dr Trott any idea how much he charges? and thanks again.
thankyou zhara i will go to Dr Trott so far ive heard great things about him thankyou.
Hi so I had my first consult w/ Mark Moore at Calvary North Adelaide yesterday. I thought that he was very nice and talked through the very basics with me. I have done so much research into this procedure and so nothing he said to me was new information which was ok. He said for my nose everything can be done internally which is good as I heard some make incisions. He told me that he would take 2-3mm off my hump and the refine the end and lift it up slightly. He said that he prefers the natural look and he does not do the ‘scoop’ or ‘ski slope’ nose and said to look for another surgeon if I wanted that look. I do want a natural look and I am ethnic so I don’t know if a ‘scoop’ would suit my face? He quoted me $3000.00 w/ Medicare benefits of $995.00 NOT including Anaesthetic and he wants me to stay overnight in hospital but that is covered by private health fund. So if I choose to go with him then you book the day you want it done and see him 2 weeks before to finalise it all and then he said he can do it. Also it was $150.00 consult fee again though part was cover by Medicare. Please be aware though that I had a doctor’s referral so that could have altered the price so it may vary per patient and their personal situation. I am going to ask my doctor to get a referral to maybe 2 other surgeons just to compare. I heard that Jim Katzaros is good from a few people, also David David, I also was told by 2 people to go to and ENT surgeon and Stephen Forellini was named. I would like to see Dr Trott now from what I have heard on here. I will keep you all updated!
Dr moore did mine
Have you had your operation? Mark Moore did mine 3 years ago. He said the same thing to me about ensuring it looked natural.
... The operation was easy, i had really no pain, which is meant to be the sugn of a good surgeon, but i can honestly say my nose doesnt look a whole heap different and 3 years in i have breathing difficulties. I went back to him and he said something has collapsed in my nose and referred me to an ENT dr tomich. He wanted to put me under the knife again as he said the tip still needs work and the bump needs more shaving and he wanted to take a bit of skin from behind my ear for something. I walked out of his office thinking FAR OUT!! Ive put up with the crappy breathing for too long I am getting another opinion from stephen forellini.
hi there Robomac, i heard there is 2 Dr Moores? Brothers, i get mixed reviews? what did you think of mark moore? cheers thanks
Ummm, it was a weird experience really, he had me in and out of his office quickly. He made no fuss hes a quiet man. I didnt see him the morning after as promised then week later a nurse took the cast off then when i finally got to see him two weeks later he still didnt say much, i said it still looks big he said it was swelling. My nose is thinner, but still has a big tip and lump. My partner thinks it was a massive waste of time because he cant tell and i now can hardly breathe. I was annoyed he referred me to another dr. I never got a price on what the other dr charged as i thought id just put up with the limited breathing. I wasnt butchered by any means, i had minimal discomfort afterwards and no bleeding and hardly any bruising. I dont regret it one bit, just annoyed with the breathing, but i dont think thats uncommon. I havent heard there are 2 dr moores. I seen mark moore. He practices at calvary and campbell town.

What a great result! You must be thrilled.

It looks gorgeous! I love it so much

I'm a 24 year old female from Adelaide and am 6 days post-rhinoplasty. I get my cast off on Thursday so will post pics asap. Just wondering, is getting the cast removed painful? Should I try to soften it with warm water beforehand? In the meantime if anyone is looking to undergo rhinoplasty in Adelaide, feel free to private message me. I know there are basically no reviews/recommendations of Adelaide plastic surgeons/rhinoplasty online, which made choosing a surgeon very difficult.

Welcome to RealSelf! We'd love it if you'd post your surgeon's name here on your review. I don't remember cast removal hurting one bit. I remember the packing being removed and that feeling really gnarly, but it doesn't sound like you have packing?

Please let us know how you like your results when you see them tomorrow!

Do you have a network that I can contact you on for further details on your surgery and the cost?
Hi just wondering on the cost of your rhinoplasty?
