“Petite mom of three, 39 years, smart lipo for waist and abdominal fat”
Smart Lipo: Worth it
Pain: Uncomfortable
I'm 39 years old and have three beautiful lil bits (two girls, one boy). For as long as I can remember I've had a problem with my stomach. I'm pretty petite and work out alot but nothing was happening with my stomach. I hated it. I finally had the opportunity to get it done and I went for it.
I don't understand how some of you were able to walk home or function after your procedure. But for me, I don't remember a darn thing. I don't remember the procedure, nothing. I had a friend who took me to and from the medical facility.
My doctor was good. He answered all my questions. I had my upper, lower, and waist done. Right now my stomach looks weird. I'm in pain. It gets better daily. All I can say is, I'm still waiting to see the results.
What I can say about my doctor, he called me 2 days after the procedure to see how I was doing and to answer any questions and to make sure that I make a follow up appointment.
So far, it's hard to rate this since I just got it done and everything is swollen. But I'm waiting with bated breath and crossing my fingers that everything tightens and flattens.

So, I'm 3 wks. post-op and yes I can see a difference. My stomach, back, stll tight and so uncomfortable to touch. I have a ridge on the right side of my abdomen that is bothering the crap out of me. I so pray that it smooths out like my other side. My doctor told me that it will but I don't see much change there. I've been massaging and really don't know if it's doing anything. I'm still wearing my compression garment and plan to wear it for the full eight weeks. The itching though, that's something. There are some places that regardless of how much I scratch, it will not ease.
All in all, I am pleased with my results so far. I no longer have the roundness to my stomach any longer but my stomach is still not flat. I'm holding out for complete results as I am still swollen and have read that the swelling takes about 3 months to go away. I have to say that I have worn two blouses that before this procedure I always took off because I did not like the way I looked in them.
But it stll comes back to the fact that I'm not flat like I would like. I do work out alot, so I know that would help. Please, I'm prayng that my stomach gets flat.
I swear I will post pictures as soon as I get my hands on the before and after. But til then, I will keep you up to date on my weekly resluts. Oh, and one more thing, I'm not seeing curve along my waist as I've seen for some.

So now I'm 7 weeks post. I am posting 5 wks. post pictures that I had gotten from the doctor. I didn't post the frontal because I'm totally naked. All his pics. are taken without clothing. I'm not shy or anything, but I figured these two pre and post will give an idea of where I am currently.
Now that that's said, I have to say that I am still sensitive to the touch. When I lotion my body, soap my body, massage my body, and god forbid that I have to scratch, it hurts. I still have that ridge on my lower right hand side. I hate it and pray that it goes away. My doctor told me that after six months if it's still there he would do a touch up, no charge. But I do not want to do this again. I hated the lack of recall of the day of my surgery; not being able to remember a darn thing is not a feeling that I like. And, I just don't want to do this again. So, I've been doing everything I could thing of - exercising, massaging, yes, and praying - to help this ridge along. My stomach is still big. But I know that from everything that I have read and have been told that that is still swelling and that it will take probably up to six months for it to totally go down. I work out a lot so I'm hoping that helps.
Let me tell you though, my clothes fit so much better. Again, the ridge. But take the ridge away and WALLAH, awesome. And to know that my stomach's still swollen; I have high hopes.
I'll post again in a few more weeks to let you know if any other changes occurred.
I'm trying to get my rating to excellent. I've moved up from "good" to "very good".

Okay, I finally have pictures that I hope will post. As you can see, I have this ridge on the lower right hand side of my abdomen that as of 10wks has not smoothed out. I'm starting to think that that's more than swelling and could be fat. I pray that it is not; I really don't want to do this again. My skin is still sensitive to the touch. Unfortunaltely for me, I still cover my body because of that ridge. It pushes my clothes out and takes away from my stomach being flat. When I wear my slacks, my stomach pokes out. I'm disappointed. But whenever I look at my six weeks before and after pictures, I know that there's a big change. I can see it in my clothes, definitely more upper than lower.
I don't know what else to do but to continue my massages and my work outs in hope that this will set right. I look at my stomach and it's not flat. So again I'm hoping that the reason that still is is because of swelling. I'm two months into my total recovery so I still have some time to go. My doctor will do not touch-ups until January if necessary. And I'm thinking it will be neccessary. I swear, I do not want to do this again. I would really like to have a flat stomach!!!
