It shows a subtle difference and it looks good you have nothing to worry about. and what you see will become more obvious and pronounced in time as it's only been a short time since you had it done. I'm post op 2 hours I don't even want to look at myself yet.
Thanks for your comments, goodluck with healing and recovery etc, you'll have to post your story after you see your results. THanks again.
Your profile is very feminine. I'm not sure what you're complaining about? I think both of your photos look great. Focus on things like your beautiful cheekbones and lips! Your nose is just fine.
i actually think that your nose looks absolutely perfect in both pics (i would love to have your nose - your old or new one:))
your nose looked great before and after! i can tell it is slightly more upturned after-just the right amount, you dont want it any more drastic than that, it looks perfect!
I don't mean to be rude, but your nose was perfectly fine before your rhinoplasty. I'm not saying it doesn't look good now, it does. But I don't know what your were thinking

Just added some pictures. It wasn't until I got a really good look at the before and afters that I realised I'm quite pleased with the result. Please tell me what you think?

I think you should be pleased! It is a very subtle, but definite improvement and your new nose very much suits your face
Yes I think it looks smaller more defined for a female face. Could you tell me who did the work ? Also the cost is very low how did you manage that?
My ENT performed the surgery. I was initially hesitant at the thought of an ENT performing a cosmetic procedure, however he had over 20 years experience in facial plastic surgery (especially noses)and was recommended to me by my usual ENT. I also asked around as much as I could to find out about his reputation by chance I came across someone who had him perform a revision on her nose after an initial botched surgery, she sang his praises, which gave me a bit of extra confidence. My procedure was largely covered by health insurance and medicare (as it was a septorhinoplasty) therefore I only had to pay a very small gap, hence the low price. To satisfy my curiosity I went and had a consult with a plastic surgeon, and although I had a really good feeling about the plastic surgeon, he was going to charge me astonomically as I would additionally have to pay for an ENT to perform the septoplasty and none of it would have been covered by health insurance as it would have been deemed a "strictly cosmetic procedure". I know that price really shouldn't be a deciding factor when it comes to choosing a surgeon, but I was uncertain of who to go with and as much as I hate to admit it the price definately swayed me in the end.

I never really had a bad nose, it was straight, but I always thought it was too masculine for my petite face and it overshadowed the rest of my features. I'd always said I would one day have a nose job. As it turns out (very conveniently for me) I had a deviated septum, which required a septoplasty, so I opted to have a septorhinoplasty, which was mostly covered by my health insurance, therefore the procedure cost me very little in comparison to a normal fee.

I'm only a week and a half post-op (closed septorhinoplasty), but I must say my experience so far has been virtually pain free, with the major discomfort being a stuffy/blocked nose and sore/dry throat. The first night was pretty awful, but that was mainly due to being in a hospital and being constantly woken up throughout the night, and not being able to lie down flat to sleep, plus my mouth and throat were really dry due to breathing only through my mouth.

Once I got home (the following day) and was in my own bed with peace and quiet things were much better. My nose bled (only in small drips every now and then)for about the first day and half post op, but dried up after that, I could also feel fluid in my ears everytime I swallowed for the first couple of days. but that cleared up pretty quickly. It really just felt like I had a cold, as my nose gave me no pain at all (unless I accidently gave it a slight bump) I didn't even take any of the pain killers the Doctor gave me. I hated not being able to taste anything on account of my blocked nose, but I got my taste back by about the 4th day post-op.

For about the first 5 days after the operation I pretty much stayed in bed and took it very easy, as I felt pretty exhausted, but by the 6th day I felt well enough to be out and about (but still took it pretty easy. I could already see a difference in my nose even with the splint on, I could tell the tip was higher and didn't come down as much when I smiled, this made me very happy as that was one of my main dislikes about my nose.

I had my splint removed on the 6th day post-op and felt a little disappointed with the initial results. My nose didn't look all that different, the tip didn't look any different and was still quite bulbous (although this may be due to swelling) and not as up turned as I'd hoped for, and the side profile hadn't changed as dramatically as I would have liked , although I wasn't upset with the result I felt as though I'd gone through everything for nothing. Plus I still had two big bruises under each eye to show for it.

I went and saw 2 friends that day and both of them said they couldn't really tell the difference, which upset me a little more. I could definately see there was a difference (it was my face afterall and I see it everyday) but it wasn't as major as I probably wanted it to be.

The Doctor said my tip would probably turn up a little more over time and the profile would also become a little softer. I guess I just have to be patient and wait. Overall I think my nose does look better than before, but there's not a drastic change.
