Worth It
Spent: $4,000 in UK

About 14 months ago I had rhinoplasty on my nose to reduce the length of my septum, remove my dorsal hump, and reduce the size of my nostrils (which were extremely large).

I am much happier with me nose for the most part, however the size of my nostrils still concern me and I am now considering having revision surgery on them to make them smaller.

My surgeon has explained to me that there may be a risk of scarring by having the nostrils reduced further, could any of you share your experiences in nostril scarring - how likely is it, how visible are the scars, will they fade or is there any after-care treatments I can take to fade the scars, and does the fact that I have waited 14 months since my last operation improve my chances of not having scarring. As you can appreciate, this is a big decision for me (especially so, given that I am a male and rhinoplasty is not particularly masculine!), so any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Hiya, I wanted to reduce the flare of my nostrils but was told by my surgeon that it is a complicated procedure and very easy to go wrong so i didnt do it. You'll definitely be left with scarring although it wont be very noticable, only a fine scar on each side which should gradually fade overtime. Your chances of scarring are still the same even if have already had a rhinoplasty but if you really want it then it should be worth it. Best thing to do is discuss it with your surgeon. Goodluck =)

The bridge appears more concave, but the change appears minor, overall. It wasn't a bad nose to begin with. I don't think you should tweek the nostrils further. Your nostrils are pretty wide, but they give you an intense, masculine look which is interesting.
