Rhinoplasty for Bulbous Nose - Swollen Turbinates After Septoplasty?

I had rhinoplasty because i had a bulbous nose that made me self conscient. After I had my nose job I have swollen turbinates, assymetric nostrils and my nose looks pinched in one side. I dont know if this is due to swelling.

Can I get swollen turbinates after a septoplasty? Also, is it normal to have assymetric nostrils 3 months post op? Please help.

Im not sure I would recommend my doctor because I am not satisfied with my results.

Hi, It is best to address your concerns with your rhinoplasty surgeon. It is possible that your internal airway is relatively narrowed so that the turbinates are larger proportionally. As for the pinching and asymmetry, the nose continues to heal for 6 to 12 months after rhinoplasty before decisions about revision surgery are considered. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
I had rhinoplasty on Oct. 19, 2009. This is my sixth procedure, in a 10 year period, and I HATE it. Emotionally i am distort. I am embarrassed to be seen in public. I would like to have my nose revised IMMEDIATELY by a revision specialist. What are the medical risk for doing so this quickly? I CAN NOT WAIT for a year to past. It is painful to look in the mirror. I am too depress and a shame of my appearance to wait, unless there is some medial reason for it. YN I am desparate!!!!!
