“Asymmetry after upper bleharoplasty”
Eyelid Surgery: Undecided
Cost: $5,000
Pain: Painfree
Review of Eyelid Surgery:Pain: Painfree
Eyelid Surgery satisfaction: Fair
I do not recommend my Eyelid Surgery provider: Name not provided
Why: Not completly satisfied.
I recently got upper eyelid surgery about 3 1/2 months ago. Over time the swelling decreased but my right eyelid is noticeably higher. My eyelids were not like this before. Surgeons says no eyes are symmetrical but they are at least CLOSE. I feel mine are not and I'm not satisfied. I paid 5,000 dollars and not for this.
I am hearing to get a brow lift to fix this...will that correct it? Or over time will they even out at least a little bit? What should I do? It's hard not to worry when you look at them every day! Any help?

I actually think you had a great result. As I'm sure your doc told you, you probably still have swelling too. Your doc is also right about no one being symmetrical. I once saw a program where they showed what people would look like if their eyes were symmetrical and they look weird. My advice is not to do a revision -- your eyes look so much better now -- and definitely do not get a browlift. It's a major surgery and your brows don't appear to be too low. At least try botox first to see if your brows would look better lifted. Your eyes are still big and a nice almond shape. You also have to give your scars more than three months to disappear. You're going through the picky phase which we all go through with PS. Be patient.

please leave your eyes alone! They look way better now then before. What ever you are thinking take it out of your mind and stop looking at yourself in the mirror because you will always find something. I had my eyes done and i would pay anything if at least they looked as good as yours my doc messed me up for life.

I agree with everyone else - I'm not sure what you're seeing, because your eyes look much better to me!

Wow. Your eyes look really amazing. I have to tell you though, I stared at the photo for the longest time and cannot see that one is "noticeably higher". I too saw that program about how perfect symmetry looked really weird (they used famous people to demonstrate). That said, you should talk to your surgeon about it if it upsets you so much. Personally, I think those photos are a great advertisement for your surgeon because your eyes look really beautiful.

Wow thank you everyone for the supportive comments! Maybe I have been going crazy for a little while-constantly looking at my eyes. I think because it's such a MASSIVE change to my appearence I'm just not used to it. There is a slight asymmetry but I'm probably the only one who is noticing it...I just have to adjust and get used to it. I definetly agree that they look better than before. Once again I thank you guys your comments have really helped me realize that I need to relax...and made me feel much better. I'll probably post another picture since my eyes I feel are still changing each day. The pro to my surgery was that I was in NO pain at all just a little uncomfortable...I know a lot of people who went through painful eyelid surgeries. Just a lot of swelling -and havig patience is a MUST because I expected my final result after 2 weeks (thats what they tell you) but it's not true. My eyes look completley different from the beginning of the recovering process. My eyes have contiually been changing month after month-Thanks everyone!
