Pros: My breasts are full and no longer droopy.

Cons: Not 100% happy Overall, the doc did go a great job, I'm just not totally satisfied. From my research of other women with full C's, I'm disappointed with my 240cc implants. I don't look like a full C :(

I'm one week post op and am not happy with the size. I thought they would have been larger. Should I wait until my breast "settle" to decide whether I'm unhappy? How long before I could get them redone? Do you think my surgeon would charge me again if I'm unhappy?

I had a breast lift and augment. My breast do look great, I just thought I was getting more than I actually have.

WOW that is really little for him to think you would be a "C". In my research at least 300cc is making a "C"...My most recent implants( May 6th ,09) are 533cc (I was a small deflated "B" before)and I stillwant to go bigger...doc said wait minimum 3 months and YES he will charge for new implants and anesthesia...so that is half of my original cost1/2 of my original cost! He said "oh to go bigger i just put you under and slip em in" I think to pay STINKS...but they feel we may not have communicated enough?? I think they like the extra money??

I had mine done and I had 310cc and im a D cup. I dont think you should pay for them. I am having them redone cuz they look to far apart and they are doing it free of charge and in the same time Im going bigger as well.

I just had mine done about 5 weeks ago. I also feel that I should be bigger than I am. He had ordered 3 different sizes ranging from 250cc to 300cc & "tried" them on when I was asleep. He ended up using the 250cc. They look proportional which was the "look" I was going for but I feel that still could've gone bigger & still look fine. I want to get them redone but everyone's telling me that I'm crazy. I did go & got measured at Victoria's. The lady told me I was a 32D. I told her that she was crazy until I tried on a bra & it fit perfectly. I still don't think I look that big tho.

Hi, I would love to know how you feel now... I am about a week post-op, 250cc, and hoping for a full B/small C... I was very small before, and I feel like my skin is stretching... PS also chose 250cc during surgery. Do they change that much from the first week? Thanks!

Hi. They do get a little fuller looking as they heal. I'm about 10 weeks post-op. They look great but just not as big as I had hoped for. I told the surgeon I wanted a natural look & that's what I got but I think I secretly wanted a "big" natural. I don't regret getting them done. I'm 5'5" and 108lbs. I now wear a 32C at Victoria's. The other day my gf said to me that she didn't even notice that I had them done & I think that was the "final straw" that pushed me to decide to go back and exchange them for bigger implants.

When I went back to get the stitches out, the nurse was like, uh, did you get them done yet??? SHE didn't even notice!!!! I think I will end up a regular B, but I asked for a very full B or a small C... I don't know what to do, I'm so depressed!!!! FYI, I am 2 weeks post-op.
jennylz 14 Apr 2010
According to my surgeon, I'm a regular to full B. He says sometimes they "bump" up the bra sizes up. I'm also disappointed with my size but I did ask for a natural look. I just thought they would be bigger. The other day, my friend told me that she honestly couldn't tell I got them done & it upset me a little. I spent all this money & it's not noticeable. My husband doesn't want me to go back but I made up my mind. It stinks that I have to pay again but not as much as the first time. I have my surgery scheduled for 5/7 to exchange them. I'm thinking about 350-375cc. I told him to go as big as he could without having me look "busty".

Just had my second surgery last Friday. He replaced my 250 with 350cc's. So far, they look great & I'm very happy minus the fact I had to spend another $4500. But overall, it was worth it.

I am 1 week post op, I had 250cc's over the muscle with a lift.My Dr said that was the max he could fit. I was hoping for 300'ccs ... I think I will end up a C cup maybe not a full C as I had hoped. But I have cone boobs right now, they are so pointy!I know they say it takes a full 6 months to settle, but I am freaking out here ! Is this normal?
CaliZinGirl 29 Apr 2010
I can't see your photos...however I do know that there is no particular CC number that equals a C or D. It depends on how much breast tissue you have to start. I had augmentation with donut lift 8 days ago. I was wearing a C cup but didn't fill it. I told my surgeon I wanted to be a full C. She gave me 305cc in one and 320cc in the other and I currently am a full D. They will get smaller, I'm told, but true results won't be for another 6 months. Another thing to take into consideration is that there is no standardize cup size either. Victoria's Secret C is way different from Calvin Klein's C. Having said that, if you were clear to your surgeon that you wanted a full C cup he or she should understand what that means. If they don't fill a C now they are only going to be smaller a few months from now. I would express your concerns to your Dr and ask what your options are. A reputable Dr will make right.

I ended up having an infection on the left side , and one month post op had to have the implant removed. :( So now I have one implant about a C cup and the other is about a small B! this was not my plan for summer... But my PS will only charge me for the implant not the surgical fee's , I have silicone so I am looking at an additional $1000.for revision in about 3 to 4 months from now. Do you have saline or silicone? If your unhappy with the size and its saline, maybe filling them a little more wont be so difficult or costly? Best of luck to you!

what? this is crazy. if you have an infection PS should not charge you! AND if the nurse couldnt even tell you had your surgery I would go get a second opinion then find a lawyer!

I am 21 days post op from lift with silicone implant im very happy with the lft however me nipples are now uneven and it drives me crazy..dr said he can make a simple revision in his office under local it will take 30 minutes...Anyone had this done? i also requested full c or small D he put 371cc(dual plane) THEY LOOK VERY NATURAL AND ARE SOFT
2969anon 9 Aug 2010
i'm wondering how tall you are and what body size you are? small wrists bones etc or large. 371 make you a full c and how much of your own breast tissue did you have? thanks I so interested, e

Maybe you realize this already, but just in case -- I was the one where the nurse didn't know I had the surgery - it was another girl who had the infection... I have no problems otherwise, and they actually look quite natural (who would pay for such small ones!). Anyway, before, I used to wear big padded bras... so now I kinda look the same as I did before, except that I wear a regular bra with no padding. The nurse said she wasn't sure if I was wearing one of my padded bras, but I feel like I should look bigger than that, not THAT much bigger, but bigger! Do you still think I should talk to the PS about it anyway? The problem is, they make you sign like 10 or 15 pages saying there is "no guarantee" about the result, etc., etc... So not sure if I have any recourse anyway. I paid A LOT of money though... so kinda sucks!
1591anon 2 Jun 2010
Me again... To clarify, the nurse made the comment when I walked in the office and still had my clothes on...

I had my BA done 4 months ago. I got 400cc on the right and 430cc on the Left due the difference in breast size I had before. I went for the famous " Full C cup". I did end up with a small D cup. my mistake was that i chose high profile implants. I guess i was so excited that i was finally getting them that i didnt research enough the difference between moderate and high profile implants. i wanted a round look, but did not get it. High profile implants fill the top of your breast more than the bottom therefore i now have a fold on the bottom of my breasts where my breast would end before that doesnt look nice at all.The fold was there one month post op and the PS told me to give it a few months that it would go away, but its been 4 months and the folds are still there. i just made an appt with my PS to see what he can do about it. Should i have to pay for him to correct them? Anyone thinking of getting BA i would suggest to take pics of what you want with you to appt. Breasts look very differnt with clothes on. I use to think that D's were huge when i would see pics with out clothes, but i would have actully gone for a full D or at least a 450cc implant.

I wish I had brought pictures of what I wanted also. I totally agree with you on that! I wanted the full C as well, and figured 300 ccs at least on my B cup would give me that. What size were you previosuly? But when I asked 2 ps , the one I used as well as a previous consult I was told around 250-260..otherwise I would look "heavy" I ended up w/ 250 cc silicons, round moderate profile. I was the one who had the infection, and currently only have one implant.. Waiting for the redo hopefully end of aug/sept. But right now I dont feel like its the size I wanted. Its barely noticeable in clothing ..But I will have to wait to see the final result once I have the other one in!What I dont understand is that this Dr told me the most he could fit was 250'ccs? I also had a lift w/ the implants...which can result in more complications(hence the infection) as the two procedures work against each other. So maybe in order to be safe he went with the smaller cc? Kinda disapointing..maybe I can go bigger in a year or so. But Its definately better than the saggy B's I had!
1591anon 7 Aug 2010
Hi, I am disappointed, too... I only got 250 silicones, I think round moderate also... And I was a very saggy probably A... I look MUCH MUCH MUCH better, and no longer have to wear big padded bras all the time, which is AWESOME... But I know what you mean, depending on the shirt I wear I still look small!!! If it's a tight fitting shirt I think I look "normal", maybe not even "small"... but definitely not what I wanted. But I should be happy, as I've had no problems and everyone says they look very natural and they would never suspect they were implants... I feel like a "woman" now and I'm not mortified to take my shirt off, so I guess that's worth it. For everyone else, though, BRING PICTURES and try to be VERY CLEAR about what you want!!!

I am small framed and I asked my PS to give me what I lost, no bigger or smaller. I have 550cc silicone, but above appears hollow. I showed my PS last week and he suggested fat grafting to fill in the areas. He did not know if insurance would cover, but I want them to be perfect. To the one with infection: you should not be responsible for repayment. I also think for all of us who have gone through breast cancer and mastectomy, we should have what we want and be 100% satisfied with results. Good luck to all who are displeased with your outcome. Insist on no charge. You might also call your insurance carrier and ask if a revision is covered. My sister had two and insurance covered both.

I had my breast done in 2000 and was extremely happy so this year I decided it was time to change the implant so I went to a diffrent doctor I asked for a little bit bigger and I wanted the highprofile clevege I got nothing of what I wanted and I am so unhappy I dont know what to do :( I regret doing it....... I feel as if he didnt even changed the implant...
knt8873 29 Aug 2010
I am the one who had the infection ,I will be having it replaced on sept 9th! And I am VERY nervous! hope to have a good result this time.
rhann 19 Sep 2010
Yes, I am so sorry. My answer remains the same. I too had an infection while I had expanders. PS did surgery and emptied the expanders for a few weeks until I healed. Revisions are covered by insurance. For those of us who have lost our breasts to cancer, should have what we want including perfection without paying out of pocket.

How are you doing?
Klae 18 Sep 2010
I am 1 week post op as well. I had a lift and augmentation and it was partial under the muscle. Dr. said that 250 - 300 cc was all that would fit with my body size and because of the lift. I wanted full c, small d. They ended up putting in 315cc and so far I think I will be happy. They could be a little bigger, but they are much more than I had. I was a deflated b after nursing my 2 boys. My main concern was still being able to fit in a med shirt (just recently lost weight) and still being able to buy cute bras. I am 5'9 and 147 so I think I could have still been proportioned if they put in 400 like I wanted, but overall I think I will be happy. We will see as they drop and fluff.
