I got botox in my forehead for my lines. The effects on my forehead were good but the eyes I'm left with are not my own. Some days they're worse than others. I've had the botox for 3 months now and the puffy eyes still continue. Please don't say it's not the botox as it's been since I've had it done.

I read elsewhere to use visine eye drops to help with puffy eye's caused by bad botox. I can't purchase them here in britain so could you recommend another kind for me to buy. Thanks

It is definitely the botox. I don't think Visine would help as the puffiness is caused by muscle laxity around your eyes. It has been three months for me also and I still have the ghastly puffy eyes. Some people have had some success with manual lymphatic drainage and you might want to give that a try? However, I am of the opinion that the puffiness is caused by a combination of oedema (which can by helped by lymphatic drainage) and pseudo-herniation of the fat pads under the eyes (which will only improve when the muscles regain their strength). Hope yours improves soon and keep us updated. Cheers

Have you seen any improvement? I'm really worried that even when all the botox is out of me, my eye lids will never be the same.

Hi tried but failed. I notice your on Jabba the hut page to. I did use an alternative eye drop and I have to say they did start to drain so I'm not sure if maybe it was just a coincidence. You sure can research... i'm so glad your on this site as everything is all starting to make sense now instead of Doctors making us feel off our heads. Thanks again for all your advice. How you getting on... any improvement so far.
Wow, I can't believe puffy eyes from forehead injection. I just had injections under my eyes and I am having horrible sleepy and puffy eyes and very much regret getting in injection below the eyes... I will not do this again.. it is not better yet? I am praying this will change as the botox wears off. I hope yours get better..
Hi Jessegirl - I am at Week 13 and still have the puffy eyes. Read the posts under Chloerose's review "Jabba the Hutt puffy eyes after botox in glabella region". Lots of us with puffy eyes have written there and I copied a very illuminating article in one of my posts. Hang in there. My puffiness was EXTREME for the first five weeks or so and then has slowly, slowly, slowly improved. I still have it but it is much better. I still despair that it will never come right but all I can do is wait. Keep writing. It will make you feel better to know you are not alone. Cheers
I live in London and I use the Similasan brand of eye drops for any eye related issues. I think they are made in Germany or Switzerland. They are wonderfully soothing and safe to use. In the UK, they sell them on Amazon.co.uk They have several different types, but they are all very similar in terms of ingredients, so up to you which one you try. I have used them all and they are all very healing. Hope that helps.
Murine eyedrops are a suitable alternative and can be bought over the counter at most UK chemists such as Boots. Good luck!
