I had FESS and a septoplasty due to chronic sinusitis of over 1 year in my left maxillary sinus. 1 week after surgery I developed an infection and eye pain, but after 3 weeks of antibiotics the infection and eye pain went away for 1 week. Now I have constant dull pain in my sinus and eye, but the doctor thinks it is nerve pain due to a clear CT scan and physical exam of the sinuses. Ive had nerve pain before and this isnt sharp or shooting - could it really be nerves?
I had sinus surgery for a chronic infection in my left sinus. They also did septum correction. My post-op checks went great and I had no problems healing. However, I now have an awful smell that I can't get away from. The surgery was 4 weeks ago and this smell started this past week. I also have intense sinus type headaches. Advil helps with the pressure pain but I've been taking it pretty much non-stop for the past week. Is all of this normal?
Its been two months since my balloon sinuplasty was done and Ive started to get congested again and everytime i blow my nose blood comes out and then it follows a pain throughout my sinuses. Should this have me concerned? Or is it just a reaction?
I have had two sinus surgeries with the last being 2 years ago. I have struggled daily since with dryness burning, swelling and pain in my nose. I am able to breathe easily and my sinus cavities are not blocked but I get frequent infections. I do have a small hole in my anterior septum on CT. I have been back to my surgeon who states everything looks great and saw one other surgeon who said he didn't know why I had the dryness, pain, swelling and frequent infections either. Need specialist?
I have facial paralysis that caused my nasal passage to collapse. I had surgery a couple of years ago to fix it. It helped some but got worse so I had the surgery repeated last week. Now the tip of my nose is very painful when washing, sharp pains. Or, when yawning it feels like my stitches are tearing. All of my upper teeth have a dull ache and I have almost constant forehead ache. Headache worse on standing. I don't remember this much pain the first time around. More swollen and bruised this time, also.

After suffering from chronic sinusitis I had FESS surgery. The doctor said all 4 sinuses were diseased, they opened up all the sinuses and removed some polyps. I started to feel better 2.5 weeks after but then came down with an infection. I was given a weeks worth of antibiotics and a steroid nose spray. 2 weeks later I still have loads of pain in my sinuses no discard, just pain. Could it just be that my sinuses are still healing? I have also had pressure in my ears. Thanks.
