One week after PRK, with both contacts out, the vision in my right eye got worse. Halos and starburst are more than the left eye. It has been two week now since the procedure and there is a slight improvement in the right eye, there is difference in vision between the right and left. Sometimes my right eye seems a little tired as though it is trying to keep up with the vision of the left eye. Is this normal after the procedure? The classes in my school are a bit dusty, could this be a problem?
I was operated with flying spot PRK and one year after the surgery I still see halos/starbursts at night. The darker it gets, the worse they are (when driving at night I see a big difference when I turn on/off the cabin light). The treatment zone was more than 9mmx8mm for one eye and 10mmx9mm for the other. My pupils do dilate easily beyond 7-8mm in low light and the starbursts/halos follow closely their reaction to more/less light.
I had PRK surgery about 2 months ago,and my myopia was 5.I can see i little worse than 20/20 (but better than 20/25) with my left eye and a little better than 20/20 with my right eye.My questions are A) I do have starbursts and halo around lights and i see also starbursts in day when a light hits a smooth surface , will this go away ? B) i got 0.25 astigmatism will this also go away ? C) I used for 1 month dexamethasone drops.Week1 4drops Week2 3drops Week3 2 drops Week4 1 drop. Was it enough ?
I have starbursts and glare when my eyes are dilated (scotopic pupils-7.5mm) after I got PRK on May 22, 2012. It is nearing 6months and it hasn't gotten any better since I first got the surgery. My doctor has given my alphagan P (which cures all my night issues) but I don't want to be dependent on it for the rest of my life since it gives me dry and tired feeling eyes. I am seeing 20/20 so acuity is not an issue. What are my options? Will it resolve with time or have I ruined my night vision?
