I had PRK surgery 7 days ago, I went to my second follow up appt. yesterday and the doctor took out the contact bandage, he said there was epithelium left around the eye and I was going to feel like a had dirt in my eye which I did, my eye got very watery and burning like sensation. He put the contact back on and said to leave it for two more days. I am still using the steroid drops and today they started to hurt my eye when I apply them. I feels like something is stabbing my eye.

Hello. I'm 30 years old. I had prk laser surgery 2 weeks ago. My vision was getting better in the first week after surgery (one eye 20/20, the other _0.25) . But, after contact bandage removal, one week ago, I feel like my vision is 20/20 in the morning after I wake up, and it gets so much worse after 10 minutes, and become the worst ever at night, I can even read the text messages on my phone. So, what is the problem with my eyes exactly? Thank u
Since then, I have had a total of 4 cornea abrasions between both eyes. Every night before bed, I put Muro128 ointment on my water-line so my eyes stay lubricated (the abrasion usually occurs when I open my eyes in the morning). I also have trained myself not to open my eyes when I first wake up without putting in wetting drops in each eye. I feel like I am doing everything possible yet this is still continuing to happen to me.My eye doctor has really been great helping me understand what is happening and what steps are appropriate for me. The last time I had an abrasion on my right eye (2 months ago) I wore a bandage contact for 4 weeks. For me wearing a contact over night would eliminate this problem I am having since each abrasion I have had has happened over night.
Due to the assembly line nature of LASIK Vision Institute, my Dr removed my PRK bandage contact the very next day after surgery by mistake, thinking I was in for my contact removal. I can't tell you how much it hurt and when he realized what he did, he put drops in and left the room to get a replacement contact. I was actually a little light headed and nauseated after it but I am not sure if it was due to the pain or the fear of him screwing up my eye. Will this heal and how upset should I be?
