I had prk surgery 11 days ago. It was okay until day 9, two days after the contact removal, my right started to really hurt and I could barley open it. I work 12 hour shifts and commute a total of 2 hours for my job. Now on day 11 my right eye is much worse, it is in constant pain, and watering extremely. The prescription eye drops burn on it now, where they didn't before. I am returning to the office I had the surgery tomorrow is there something I can do to help now, any idea why it happened?
Hello. I'm a 28y/o F (relatively healthy) & been wearing glasses for 21 years (+4.25 L, +3.50 R, no astig). I had PRK surgery on March 9, 2018 & am currently 9 days post op, LASIK wasn't recommended in my situation. I'm struggling with my R eye healing and am on my 3rd contact to allow the defect to heal. I go back tomorrow for another followup. My distance vision is currently 20/80. Can I do anything to help strengthen my vision? I work in the OR and need/want to get back to 100%.
Its been 10 days since my surgery and 4 days since my bandages were removed. I asked about caffeine, they said moderate but at my own risk because it can dry my eyes out. I dont drink soda or anything else with caffeine Id just like a cup of coffee in the morning and maybe a little pre workout since I can hit the gym again. How long do I have to wait until I consume any caffiene? Or should I wait completely until my post op?
