After reviewing x-rays my dentist told me that a front tooth has dies. She sent the x-rays to an endodontist and he said the tooth could not be save. My dentist referred me to someone else to investigate an implant. Why am I in this situation? I have a long history of regular dental appointments. What is the reason that dentists do not x-ray front teeth? I do not have any pain issues with the tooth. I notice a slight color variation between my two front teeth but it is not noticeable to anyone else.
I had my veneers placed about 6 weeks ago. When I had the temporaries on I started experiencing sharp mouth pain. The dentist said the pain should go away after the the veneers were placed but I am still in pain. I went to another dentist after the veneers were placed but my X-ray came back normal. I am on painkillers everyday because my teeth are sensitive, my gum aches and at times my jaw hurt. Will the pain ever go away? I had 16 veneers placed (8 at the top and 8 at the bottom).
Had a bite adjustment to the left lateral incisor. Pain had been excruciating/throbbing. Before bite reviewed and adjusted, X-ray was carried out - there was a vv small grey area that he couldnt distinguish if it was nerve damage. I was told that if the bite doesnt work then its root canal. How long after a bite adjustment should I give pain to subside? It still feels as bad as before, hours later, that I am contemplating an emergency treatment.
I have been treated with veneer after opaque resin due to tooth discoloration. Is there a possibility that cavity will be generated on my teeth? I am worried due to opaque resin the dark cavity cannot be detected. If cavity appears, will it deterioatate through opaque resin as well and be visible from outside? Also, will X-ray be able to detect the cavity?
