Hi I have recently had a veneer placed on my front tooth. The tooth now feels almost as if there is a build up of pressure within it, it is not painful but just very uncomfortable. Also when I press down on the gum above the tooth it is quite sore. I have seen my dentist twice since and he has checked the vitality of the tooth and it is still alive. He has also checked my bite and it is also fine. He believes the tooth is just trying to settle. I just wanted to get a second opinion.
I had 16 veneers placed 10 weeks ago, to correct my crossbite, post procedure I had pain in all my 16 teeth, 2 weeks after, pain became localized in 4-5 teeth with pressure and sensitive to cold, I had bite correction 3 times, a week between each session, now in 1 teeth where I had my crossbite, I have cold sensitivity with mild pain in pressure, the dentist advised me to wait, its been 5 weeks and cold sensitivity still there, shall I go for bite correction again or it may go on its own? Thanks
I just recently got veneers on my top 4 teeth. I have only had them on for 2 full days. Is it normal for them to feel tight-ish on my teeth? Also, if I rub my tongue on them they feel tighter and tense with the pressure. Is this normal? I feel like I can noticeably feel them in my mouth. I didn't feel this with my temporaries.
4 days ago I got 2 veneers, one on each side of my 2 front teeth. These veneers replaced some old discolored bonding and make up for a few small gaps of space. The veneers look great, however, whenever I chew, I feel like the veneers press into my two front teeth. Pressure, not pain, but not comfortable and not natural. I can floss fine between my teeth (I was thinking they may be too tight?) My dentist has already made a bite adjustment. I am going in for another appt tomorrow.
Two days ago I woke up with extreme sensitivity to pressure in my veneered front tooth. I had the porcelain veneer put on seven years ago to repair a chip, no nerve damage. I have not had any pain in the seven years. I've had some mild sensitivity to cold in all my front teeth, now it's more than normal in that one veneered tooth. The pain is slightly relieved when I push on the back of the tooth, but any pressure on the front hurts like hell. No gum pain, no pain pushing straight up on it.
I have had veneers for a year now. Recently I have been hear a popping sort of noise when I put slight preasure on them. Does this mean they need replacing? I have an appointment soon but I'm so worried they're going to have to remove them all. When veneers are replaced, do you get temporary ones whilst the permenany ones are being made in the lab?
