I am a 60 year old woman and I've never had any orthodontic treatment and my teeth were straight. A year ago I had 6 upper and 6 lower porcelain veneers done. In about 9 months my teeth started to move so now I have a visible gap between my 2 front teeth and they're still moving - the gap is getting bigger. The other teeth don't move and I didn't have any extractions. What could be the reason? What are my options now?
I heard that pregnancy may shift your teeth (baby taking calcium/nutrients from teeth) and Im afraid if I do veneers to fix a small slight gap and reshaping, it may shift after pregnancy and Id have to fix it again.
My front 2 teeth are veneers. I got veneers around 6 months ago & have banged them 3-4 times since then through no fault of my own. Im pretty sure the right one is now moving slightly further away to the point there's now a gap. Do veneers typically move about or just fall off after being hit & how strong are they?
Hello, my new porcelain veneer fell off after 2 months. I recently had my front four teeth veneered to fill the gaps. Three of them feel great and strong but recently one had fallen off. I went back and my dentist told me that the veneer was not etched properly, she adjusted and rebounded the veneer. Its been about a week and I can feel the veneer moving when I chew and its just uncomfortable and I can feel a dip/crease.
They are sensitive to air and even just when I'm drinking room temperature water especially the bottom ones. It feels like whatever I drink its going straight through them and onto where they were shaved down. My dentist said it only last a few days up to a week.. And they are also loose. I can wiggle my front two pretty easily. And its uncomfortable when I'm eating because it feels like they could fall off. Also my dentist said they can be loose when they're first bonded on? Is that even true?
I have already had braces to correct the lack of width in my smile but unfortunately my teeth have moved back (mostly the canines) to be more tipped in rather than full and broad. Rather than trying braces again I was wondering if getting veneers just on my canines could correct this issue so that the teeth look more straight up and down instead of slanted in and thereby broadening the appearance of my smile?
