I had facelift and neck lift done in august 2021. I had revision done on two seprate occasions to address more severe crease and to have vertical bands tied. I still have a crease on left side only and loose skin under neck chin. Can this be improved?
I'm 12 days post-op after neck lift. Behind my one ear is not bad, but the other one has ropelike scars that I can't see going away on their own. Thank goodness I grew my hair out months before the surgery. My surgeon said not to bother growing my hair out but I'm so glad I did. This scar pretty much assures me that I won't be wearing really short hair again any time soon if ever. What are my options? Can a scar like this be removed by excision?
An expert PS I saw at 6 mos post op said at that point there wasn't enough skin to tuck my poorly placed ear scars, which are too far in front of and below each ear, into my ear contours. Will this still be a problem at 1 yr? Also, will the lumpy hypertrophic scars in back of my ears be easily fixed in a 2nd procedure? Will a new neck lift cause yet more problematic scars? Since the 1st procedure was a fail, I need to do over again anyway and I want these ugly scars hidden as much as possible.
Im 1 yr postop from botched necklift w/ bad hypertrophic scars placed too far in front of and below ears. Am doing revision in 3 more mos. My new PS said she can easily cut the scars out. But I am also seeing a thin white line which I was told is depigmented skin at the hairline behind my ears. The white is very unsightly. How can depigmented areas be treated? Can this be fully resolved? Also what is risk for hypertrophic scars and more depigmentation in revision surgery?
Is there a surgical touch up procedure that can be done after a neck lift to get rid of loose under chin skin? I am 6 weeks post op from a lower face and neck lift. I am very happy with the face lift but as the swelling is going down in my neck I have a lot of loose skin under my chin. Every day it seems to get worse. I have incisions behind and in front of my ears but not under my chin. I spoke with my surgeon and he thinks it looks fine
Hi, Im one week post surgery. I cannot smile or talk properly and it doesnt seem to be getting any better at all. Both sides of my chin and bottom lip wont function correctly. My left ear is completely numb as well. I still have a lot of swelling. Im worried it will never subside..my doctor prescribed a steroid pack for me to take down some swelling. Any other advice would be so much appreciated. Thank you.
It's red where the incision was made. It hurt but not too much (that area is pretty much) and yesterday I noticed a small hole and bloody water was coming out. Is this a sign of infection? Ive applied neosporin.
Liposuction on my neck, incisions around my ears, but not chin. Why is my neck lumpy? Also, the skin on my neck is still lose and sagging. Is this my final result? I'm not happy with my results....suggestions please? Thank you!!
I had a lower face and neck lift about one month ago. When I went into surgery my hearing was fine, but after surgery my hearing was muffled and I couldn't hear anything. When I asked the PS about it, she said it was probably blood or fluid in my ears. On my 10 day check up the PA scraped my eardrum and told me to clean my ears with peroxide, which I did. I went to an ENT and was told I had a reputured eardrum. Have you heard of this happening before? Could something have gone wrong during surgery
