Lower face/neck lift incision options. I've recently posted a question and photos re: neck skin laxity and other issues. I would like to ask some further questions of the experts. I would consider a surgery which involves an incision below my chin, and also a z plasty, but I am concerned about any incision in front of my ear. Is it possible for any kind of procedure to only make incisions behind the ear and under my chin? Also, I have a very light growth of facial hair/stubble. Would that be an issue: re a z plasty?
I am four weeks after a neck lift, with sutures under the chin and in front and behind the ears. While I am happy with the sharpened jawline, I have some concerns. now that the swelling is resolving there are some crepey vertical wrinkles developing on my neck. There are also ridges on my neck where the drains had been. Will these issues resolve?
I am a 53 year old male. The skin on the bottom of my neck has gone all saggy and looks much older than the rest of my face. It's really bothering me. I want to fix it but not at the cost of incisions around the front of my ear. Can I get away with an incision behind my ear only? I don't mind a scar on my neck either if it means getting rid of this crepey skin. Can i get an incision somewhere on the neck through which the skin can be pulled?
Wanted neck lift, surgeon said deep plane lower facelift with submental neck liposuction/liposculpting + platysmaplasty better results. But no scar under chin nor in hairline. Only temple area, front of ears, thick ropey scars behind ears. Don't believe it's true neck lift. Procedure to be performed spelled out in paperwork. Improvement, but not a true neck lift performed. Understand lower facelift improves jowls and neck slightly. But ugly turkey gobble remains.
Dr here says he can fix minor loose neck skin with incisions ONLY behind ear. Is that true? Will that work for me? I have minor loose skin (this is not muscle it is skin) from rapid (not massive) weight loss.
What is the best method of sutures, in particular behind ears, with the best results and low risk of scarring? Do staples usually leave scars ie track marks and if so why would P.S. use them. 53 yrs old female, no lipo. Just lax skin and platysmal redo.
My PS wouldn't treat my ear incisions early on. They were red, raised shortly after necklift. He said they shouldn't be injected before 6 mos. A facial PS I met said they are hypertrophic as a result, very far forward and below ears and too red. I don't want to see my PS again, so can I safely leave these alone until a revision necklift in 6 more mos? Can a scar revision fully correct the lumpy scars both in front and in back of ears? What causes prolonged redness and can I treat at home?
I am 9 days post-op neck lift and mini-lift. I love my doctor and my outcome so far but I ran into a healing problem behind my right ear. He recommended to continue the incision cleaning procedures and prescribed Bactroban ointment for the trouble area, as well as oral doxy. I will see his nurse again tomorrow for follow up on this, but I'm feeling anxious and was curious to hear some other thoughts. The first photo is from yesterday, and the second photo is from today. Better or worse?
