Hi I had a neck/mid face lift in March 2023. I am on the younger side (40) but the laxity in my neck has been bothering me for years. I found an amazing surgeon but I still have the folds that bothered me from the beginning. Im not sure if this is just normal or if the surgeon was just too conservative.
I had a deep plane neck and facelift 6 mos. ago. I am 51 and had significant neck laxity due to weight loss. The turkey neck was removed, but Ive been left with hollowing and sagging on each side. I posted previously, but some of my pictures were omitted. Im reposting with additional photos of the issue. My surgeon wants to do Forma and CoolPeel which Im reluctant to do. I was told by another surgeon that revision surgery would be too risky because I had deep plane. How can this be fixed?
6 months after platysmaplasty to fix bands left by lipo (no new lipo, no skin or submental fat removal, no ear incisions, just front corset and hyoid fixation) I have Adams apple (Im a woman), cobra neck (hollow where platysma fixated to hyoid, bands pull forward on either side), and wrinkles when I turn my head. What can be done? See other posts for more detail. Doc says will go away but has gotten worse and Im not sure if I should trust him again. Im only 32, neck now looks like old lady.
Hi I am 44 and had a mini face and neck lift 6 months ago. I have contacted the clinic where I had this surgery to express my concerns with results as I dont feel the neck lift has worked I can still see the lose skin on my neck that I was promised would be gone. I also have concerns with the incision scars and placement which I have also emailed about. I have had one follow up face to face appt with my surgeon who fobbed me off saying the results look great. Surgeon has now left practice?
I am a 44yr old woman who had a lower face and neck lift surgery 6 months ago. Straight after surgery my right ear felt as though it was being pulled from the top of the ear which I commented on at the time. I understand healing takes time, however my ear is still quite uncomfortable with a feeling of my ear being pulled down and forward and my inner ear feels swollen. If I turn my head to the left, I also have a tugging from the corner of my mouth across my jaw line and a raised ?tendon?
Earlier this year a board certified ENT plastic surgeon of 22 years performed a SMAS, Facelift, NeckLift with Platysmaplasty and Liposuction. At first my neck looked fine , not too drastic of a change but still a noticeable one. Then by month 3 things started to droop and what was thought of as swelling was not. Now at 6 mos my surgeon just wants to do a fat transfer under my chin. I do not believe this will give me the results that I wanted and see so many other women have had. I am a 69.
It's red where the incision was made. It hurt but not too much (that area is pretty much) and yesterday I noticed a small hole and bloody water was coming out. Is this a sign of infection? Ive applied neosporin.
Liposuction on my neck, incisions around my ears, but not chin. Why is my neck lumpy? Also, the skin on my neck is still lose and sagging. Is this my final result? I'm not happy with my results....suggestions please? Thank you!!
The platysmaplasty still feels uncomfortably tight in a vertical direction, & there are a few areas where the skin seems to be tethered, which looks very ugly, especially when I swallow. Surgeon says to wait & see how it heals, but if it doesn't resolve then re-opening incisions to repair is risky as it will create more scar tissue. I can't bear to think that I'll have to live with this deformity. Is tethering a difficult/risky thing to fix, & is it caused by too much fat removal (I had lipo)?
