Ive had MRSA twice in the past, and Im concerned about the red bumps forming around where a mole was removed last wk. Ive been cleaning daily, applying Aquaphor, and covering with a bandage. Now today there are red pimple like bumps around the wound. My drs office said keep an eye on it, apply hydrocortisone to the bumps and call them on Monday if it gets worse (today is Thursday). Im still worried though since Im, evidently, prone to having MRSA infections.
Half of the mole fell of and left a crater but half of it is till on my skin right beside the crater. Should I continue to get rid of the rest of the mole or just leave it and put aquaphor and scar preventing gel on it? I don't want to damage the wound anymore, but I would also like to get rid of the other half of the mole, as I feel this wound will heal very awkwardly and weirdly the way it looks right now.
I had a mole excised from the side of my calf and they used dissolving stitches. The stitches dropped out after a week, and I did what they said, kept the area moist with aquaphor and a bandaid covering it for 2 weeks after the surgery. Were now at 5 weeks on and the wound hasnt closed (its smaller but still a hole) and its been draining. The fluid doesnt smell. A little itchy but generally feel okay. Should I go back? And do I have to pay another copay if I do?
I had a flat mole removed on the arch of my right foot. It has been almost a month and there is still a small hole with a white around it. I have been using vaseline and aquaphor with a band aid. I wasn't given any post instructions, and location is not the best I understand for a speedy recovering
