Mole Removal + 1 Year Post-op Q&A

12 months ago I had a mole removed from my jawline. After the stitches were removed I was upset at the dog ears that had formed either side of the scar. I was told to give it time to heal and massage daily. Its now been a year, I massage daily and use a silicone gel. And whilst the scar has improved, I still have the dog ears. Can someone please explain what causes them and if they will improve anymore? Also, why would a surgeon cut vertically along a jawline and not horizontal?

I had a mole from my chin removed about a year ago. The doctor told me there would be a scar after, turns out it was an indent. Is there any way or type of surgery i could have that would get rid of this indent?

I had a bump on my nose appear after a pimple and it never went away. I went to my family doctor and she wouldnt refer me to dermatologist because she said the bump was aesthetic. I looked for a medical office which told me they could remove the bump (never told me what it was). They cauterized it and removed it and a few weeks later it was back. Went again a year later to remove it and it came back again. What is it?

I had a mole removed from my back on the spine about a year ago. The area hurts. I can't stand to have any material touch that area. Now the pain is spreading down my back on the spine area.

I have two moles removed on my cheek nearly 12 months ago with (2 mm? - I forget the size) the punch biopsy technique. Each wound was sutured with one stitch. I applied aquaphor healing ointment after the wound was closed, and then wore silicone sheets for up to 18 hours a day (most days), when appropriate, for up to 6 months and also wore 30 spf sunscreen daily since the wound closed (wearing a band-aid over the wound before it closed). I have observed capillary beds near surface of the scar.

The mole was in my upper back just to the right of my spine. It was a punch biopsy and I can feel the indentation in the skin but other than being a lighter pigment, it's not concerning by appearance. However, it feel sharp pain throughout the day as if needles ar being stuck in me at the site where the mole was. Usually it's when I'm moving my arms or back. Is this of concern or normal?

I got my mole on my abdomen removed about a year ago. It was for cosmetic reasons. My doctor called me and told me they lost the sample and were unable to check it for cancerous cells. My mole grew back and I sent him a picture and he said it looks fine. Since I got my mole removed I had a dull ache around the area I got it removed. I now have a white dot an inch away from my mole that aches and I pushed on it and it feels like a lump and is sore. What could it be an inch away from my mole.
