so i see this huge debate between surgeons, some say you need to be massaging one day post op and pretty much everyday for a week or two. but most surgeons in my area just recommend compression and lymphatic drops, cause your body will drain on its own. im not a doctor so idk but in a way it makes sense to let your body just heal vs applying all this pressure to inflamed areas. is massages even necessary or just a gimmick so you spend more?
I have finally picked a doctor and set a date for March 6th 2023. I'm 5'3, 169lbs and nervous. I tried searching around where I live to setup massages but all I can find are doctors who will do surgery but do not see anything about post operative care. What can I do to help my healing process? My surgery came with 3 massages. My procedure will be in another state from where I live.
I've read some doctors dont recommend the massages, because it can cause more pain and or damage. Is it something that most practices recommend? why is it recommended and how soon after surgery and how often should a patient have them done?
Just had lipo (inner thighs, back of arm, revision of waist hips and upper abs) I read that lymphatic massages are good to help with the swelling. I am going on a cruise in 9 weeks and i'm hoping to try to speed up some of the swelling. Is it a good idea or am I wasting my money?
4 weeks after abs lipo. I feel a couple lumps under skin although they are not visible. Just learned that I should have had lymphatic massage. Is it too late to start now to erase the lumps? What if I cant afford the lymphatic massage?
I am trying to figure up the total price of everything for my surgery, and I am curious if you have to have professional lymphatic massages after you have a Brazilian butt lift or if it's something you are able to do yourself ?
