Hi, I have spider veins/capillaries on my cheek that I wish to get treated. Last year, I had 3 sessions of PicoSure to target melasma (it faded slightly) I now wish to target the veins and have been advised to try an IPL session full face (just a light touch each session) I am worried it could worsen the melasma? Please advise and- or recommend a different treatment? Photo attached showing the redness on my cheek and melasma below.
First IPL photofacial yesterday. Confused by what I was told at derms office compared to research. No redness after treatment, ,a few dark spots popped up.No pain, swelling, or bruising. I read that this can be used for brown spots, enlarged pores, rosacea, spider veins & wrinkles. Aesthetician said it wouldnt help pores or wrinkles. She said we were doing whole face, but did not. Did I get the wrong procedure, an incomplete procedure, or was I expecting more than an IPL can provide? Thank you
I've had a few treatments of IPL for very small spider veins on the inside of each knee. The ones on my left leg are gone, but the right..although the same size..are more stubborn. The medspa put a self adhering wrap around this time, and said I could remove after 24 hours. My question is will it be beneficial to leave this on longer?
When I was 24 (now 33) started to get nodule like Rosacea papules. I found a routine that worked . Metrocream in the morning and Benzoyl Peroxide in the night. I would get a papule every 3-4 months in the exact same spot, but overall i was clear. Over the past year, I switched my routine, and now I get nodules in 5-6 spots on my face (I can't go back to BP as it's too harsh now) They usually form in the same spot though (spider veins also in these spots). Could IPL help with these nodules ?
Will those white patches go back to normal? It has been three weeks. I had it done years ago and my legs were a little pinkish and got great results. This time around purple scabs formed then peeled after three weeks and I was left with this.
5 days ago I had a laser treatment to remove broken capillaries and spider veins from my nose. The laser did a great job on the spider veins. They're gone and minimal redness, however the broken capillaries are still very red, purple and appear bruised. They seem worse. I don't see any improvement. Could the laser have made them worse? Or do I still need to give it some more time?
